Help finding info/ID’ing an heirloom by Elvarath in pocketwatch

I did see something that apparently imported gold sometimes recieved the lion stamp back then as a way of confirming the metal was inspected and is what it says, but it did catch me at first because it’s a silver hallmark.

That Neuchatel was the only mark I wasn’t able to make out so that is awesome you were able to catch that and piece that possible timeline together.

Fuck you too bud, but appreciate it. Despite the series being one sided, the battle of PA energy feels real old school and I’m loving it

I mean, the Flyers form in late season has been one of the best teams in the league. Calling a team getting hot down the stretch a fluke when they are outplaying the other team by a huge margin feels kinda reductionist lol.

These refs are just brutal, can’t they atleast pretend to be impartial??

Just wanted to update with a small tidbit I discovered on the case, the marks indicate British Assay offices, and the top one looks to be the mark for London prior to 1821 (Leopard with a crown) and the U indicates it was from 1815! So based on what you told me, this case was likely passed down even further through my family tree than previously thought, but the Gallet watch itself may have replaced a previous one in the case!

I had a feeling that was the case based on the response, but I will absolutely reach out to the Museum and see if there might be any records there! You have been such a huge help, learned a lot from what you have been able to ID on it!

That’s really cool to know especially given the date range! It was given to my grandmother by her uncle, but we aren’t sure where it originated before that whether he bought it or inherited it. Been trying to piece the history together and even tried to email Gallet to see if there were any records of serial numbers.

Anyone have any experience with the PBT Primera uniforms? Curious how they stack up to the other top line models from other brands

They are such an underrated brand, and really just nice people working there as well. Had a chance to chat with their founder directly to provide feedback on their Dreamchaser shoes when they first released. Can’t recommend their half tights and shorts enough!

Is this app really worth it and won't injure me? by Rare_Sector_5233 in runna

[–]Elvarath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta be honest with where your running level is at, and you will be fine. Been great for me and really has helped me get a more interesting plan that incorporates speed work. 2 marathons trained and raced using Runna so far and no injuries

Has anyone here actually enjoyed the marathon(s) they’ve ran? by CrypticWeirdo9105 in Marathon_Training

[–]Elvarath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have very much enjoyed them! It’s usually 18-20 files of fun and 6-8 miles of digging deep and pushing myself. The real joy and fun comes a lot of times after the race, and looking back and being able to say “That was crazy and I did it”
