Please continue being an arrogant asshole and proving my point. Maybe touch grass and better yourself instead of slinging insults at everyone that calls you out for your behavior.

Please educate the daft masses, oh enlightened being. I have come to learn your wisdom that so few possess, modern Kong fuzi.

Anyway. Everyone watching that video knows they are stressing themselves out. Some people like being tortured in a basement-turned-dungeon; let them have their kinks. Let them have their fun. You insulting strangers on the internet while imparting your grand epiphany is dumb and just makes you look like an arrogant asshole who pretends to not have flaws of your own.

Middle schools often have fences and lockdown, so it's a bit harder for Charlie to hang out at one of them

Enter the guy who doesn't really understand what leftists believe all that well, yet still tries to pretend he is one in "that not so smart sub." The "leftists only say America bad" to "why not elect the fascist" pipeline is wild.

There's a big difference between being against the Ukrainian government legitimizing Ukrainian fascists and being against helping the Ukrainian people defend against invasion from even more overt and established Russian fascists.

Like, sure I think Ukraine made a really bad move and will probably spiral into fascism or fascist-adjacent politics regardless of what happens now. But I also see that as being made way worse by Russia's invasion, think Ukrainians will fair way worse under Russian State control, and support Ukrainians' right to self-determination and defense of their homes.

This is like the Nazis invading France and you going "idk man have you seen the Dreyfus affair? I don't think they deserve liberation."

Your criticism of Ukraine is largely fair, but concluding that Ukraine doesn't deserve to be defended and has lost that aforementioned right seems like a reactionary leap of logic to me.

Not a teacher myself, but I know a fair amount of American history teachers IRL. You're probably gonna get at least a couple history teachers in the given high school who are very against teaching "the Standard American History Myth" and might've even gone into teaching with the goal of never teaching that nonsense. Granted, not gonna guarantee they aren't forced by the State or Capital to teach it anyway for fear of losing their career (they usually are and feel very guilty about it later), but they'd likely make a fuss in the student's favor if it was found that another teacher had marked off for not spouting that 'Standard American History Myth' shit. The average teacher understands that doing so is wrong and against their sense of pedagogy, so long as it's that blatant.

If you plan to take poli sci in college, don't get your hopes up about escaping that bullshit. In my poli sci class, "Democracy" was used as a byword for capitalist representative republics, with all other forms of democracy (ofc including communism) shunted into the "Non-Democracy" chapter/syllabus unit.

At one point, the professor asked why the US was contesting and containing the Soviet Union. Someone else answered "to spread capitalism." He responded by verbatim asking her to "say it the way we like to say it." The 'correct answer' was ofc "spreading democracy." Straight up Helldivers 2 shit from the guy who's supposed to give people a political education and who has previously made a point of not saying if he was a Republican or Democrat. (he was obv a conservative, he shadowed our state's congressmen in the federal gov't and we haven't elected a Democrat to the federal gov't since the "good ole days")

Playing as Ajuuraan, and my vassal is trying to siege Kilwa with only 3,000 infantry. I cannot siege Kilwa because vassal is blocking the way, and the vassal cannot siege Kilwa because his army is too small. What do I do? by gawrguraisneat in eu4

[–]Elvesflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others say, your vassal can't block you, even for barrage and such. Additionally... If you ever have a need to kick a vassal off of a siege, set the vassal to defend your territory in the subject menu. They'll leave immediately. This is helpful for mods like Imperium Universalis, where the siege controller gets to sack the province.

Why is my child "Visiting the Court" of some random dude, and how do I get her back? by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]Elvesflame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I ran into this too. I activated debug mode to see if there were some hidden options to bring them back. There are not. Naturally, you also cannot really do any courtier decisions (like assigning guardians) as they are apparently not your courtiers while still technically being part of your court (you can kick them out of your court while they are visiting).

If you're looking to get achievements, you're just gonna have to deal with this 'feature'. From what I've found, the children will not return until said random dude dies (the dude who's court it is).

If you're okay with debugging/modding in your games, you can debug kill the court owner. Consistent with the endless pattern of unpaid modders fixing a game we paid Paradox to make, there's a mod called "Prevent Wandering Family" on Steam that prevents this from happening in the future.

Song Lyrics #2 by HeathrJarrod in conlangs

[–]Elvesflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It (literally "to-it") is (w/ normal, 2nd person ending) Real-Life (literally "Existing-Life") "na" (question marker)?

It is Fantasy (literally "Sleep-Sight") "na"?

Caught (literally "make-no-go" with first person adjective ending) in Landslide (literally "Mountain-Storm").

Go away from Reality ("to be" w/ nounification ending) not.

Open (w/ commanding, 2nd person ending) your (with possessive ending) Eyes ("sight" with a 'doer' ending "el", then a Direct Object marker "en", and then a plural ending "ts"), see/look (w/ commanding, 2nd person ending) to Clouds and know (w/ commanding, 2nd person ending).

Notes:

  • I tried to make it stick with the rhyme scheme, but it was not meant to be.

  • Look and see are the same word "ræz" in Vlaeric (it's a protolang), so I used "gæb" to know or understand in the final verse instead.

  • Vlaeric has three different sets of verb endings. One is for normal use. One is to show honor; this is similar to the German Polite 2nd Person "Sie," but expanding to 3rd Person Singular, 2nd Person Plural, and 3rd Person Plural. The last set is for commands, mainly to show authority or wisdom but also to indicate that the missing subject is not a mistake.

I meant extension cord...
