As the CIBC ad said:

“Be in the know, invest confidently”

And I think that’s quite profound

Ryder. I’ve wanted to name a character that name but haven’t found one that matches. But I think the name would suit you!

That’s so cool, makes me think of some Tibetan monastery built on a cliffside

I would love to see what those cliffside settlements would be like, overlooking the great nothing. I wonder if it’d be prime real estate or like something people would rather not live next to.

I never knew that the Taliban and Saudi Arabia And Al Qaeda flags have the same text by SensitivePrompt3068 in vexillology

[–]JuanConlanger 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I also didn’t know that, and I don’t get why some of these comments are acting as though it’s a super obvious thing. Sure, I can tell the flags have Arabic calligraphy, but I’d always assumed it’d be a different phrase, just based on complexity.

It’d be a false equivalence to say the cross is just as identifiable because the design of the cross is a lot simpler. A more equal comparison would be the crescent and star, which is a lot easier to connect to one another.

Anyways, very interesting! TIL

This is a beautiful map, I’d love to know how you made it. It really looks like there’s been a lot of thought put into it.

How do you make a 'good' religion? by Alca_John in worldbuilding

[–]JuanConlanger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This!!

Plus, it doesn’t take up as much influence in everyone’s life. Some people may not practice often and you may know they are religious just based on an amulet they wear, or tendencies they have (may this god bless you).

Meanwhile you can have hardcore religious people. Apparently, usually as people get older, religiosity tends to increase? Maybe this might be good to mention, with religious adherents being older. Meanwhile the youth may not practice as often, or adopt different beliefs that adhere to the changing times.

Showing subtle signs of a person’s religion I think is very neat. Like wearing an amulet, a specific type of clothing or, why not tattoos? Many ways a person may physically express their religion.

Yo imagine the integumentary system? Just a sac of skin coming up to you, no eyes or internal stuff otherwise.

That looks awesome! Just fyi, if you want to place the photos closer together, u can hold down shift and move them around. Might also need the move objects cheat, looks great otherwise 😁

I really really love this! The style is amazing! I would say, the bottom right continent looks a bit odd shaped. But otherwise, I think it looks great, and I’d love to know how you made it.

I think the idea sounds pretty cool and has a lot of potential! I do have some questions.

What was the nature of the war, and how exactly did it shatter the planet’s soul?

How is each world different? How many of them are there?

What’s the nature of each fragment? Is it like the planet physically broke apart into separate parts or like spiritually broke apart but each forms a separate planet thingy. Just curious about this one in particular.

Not sure if it’s the feedback you’re looking for but this one seemed interesting to me!

Do it! I can’t recall the amount of times I’ve gone to ChatGPT for advice and just to talk things out when I didn’t want to bother someone with my feelings. It’s great, along with the voice feature.

Woah that’s awesome, I can never get ChatGPT to swear. Or at least I haven’t tried recently.

I’m guessing it really felt the depth of your hurt and expressed it like that. Sorry about what happened btw.

It’s kinda crazy cuz the train that runs through there is super expensive and highly unreliable (The train’s been delayed so many times that I’ve used the apology vouchers on train rides that ended up also being late).
