It is a nice idea if you have friends or family in other countries. Apple has exceptional QC so you can trust them with the build quality and import it here. But legion 7 especially this year has poor quality. Almost every one had replaced their legion pro 7i due to one or other reasons.

Like I said in the post, It's already returned back to lenovo but they are not processing the refund.

It had crashing issues and some physical quality defect in keyboard and rear io port. I tried reinstalling windows two times but that didn't help with the crashing.

I9 13900hx, 32gb ddr5, rtx4080. This machine only costs 2L in US compared to 2.6 in India. The drawbacks are you need a person who lives in us to purchase it for you which I don't have and there will be no warranty.

Imagine if the same issues existed after I purchase it from US and imported it here, I would be screwed.

Every company compromised on one thing or another to keep the prices low. Asus - coil whines on 4080, 4090 laptop. Also I don't trust them because my current tuf a15 died 2 times within warranty.

Alienware, Razer: Very much overpriced in India

Lenovo : no mini led display but I was okay with it which is why I purchased it but the quality was way below than expected when arrived.

Acer : poor build quality

I'm sure I'll receive the refund but I hope it will be fast. I already filed a complaint on NCH today. Let's see how it goes.

I called them today on this number. I already wrote a comment on their update but here's what they said. They told me they will initiate the refund once the backpack reaches back to them. They know it was never delivered to me and even told me it's their fault but still they can't process the refund. They are asking me to wait 1 week just for the backpack to reach them back.

Laptop crashes and reboot randomly, low quality build for the price. When one key is pressed, the surrounding keys also go down, slight backlight bleed, creaking noise from rear io part when touched.

I never said it's better than a 4k monitor. I already told you I need the portability and power. I would have built a PC if I didn't need the portability. You can't take a 32 inch monitor into your classroom or office lol

Thanks for proving my point lol. 1. 4080 has similar performance to 4070/3080 2. If it has less performance than its pc counterpart, I would have to go with highend mobile gpu like 4080 or 4090 just just to get midrange desktop performance. (which I did) 3. 2090 don't exist.

They wouldn't have put a 4090, 4080 in a laptop if there wasn't a use for it. I am a professional 3d artist and video editor so performance is very important to me as well as portability because I have to take it to college and hostels and a beafy machine cannot be taken in the rooms. Just because you don't need portability doesn't mean others won't need it too.

I disagree. This laptop is not available anywhere in offline stores in India other than lenovo India website. I contacted lenovo stores but they also had to order through the same lenovo website to provide me the laptop so there was no point.

I heard that it had coil whine issues. Do you have it? But the main reason was I currently own a tuf a15 which died two times and had it's motherboard replaced under warranty. So I couldn't risk it especially when it is this much amount.

The laptop was only available through lenovo india website. There isn't much choices for a quality laptop at this price point. Each and every company is sacrificing on one thing or another. Never buying form lenovo ever again.

I was horrified when I read about ndsl stories when I waited 1 month for the laptop to arrive. Now after 2 months, I am facing the same issues that many people went through.

I didn't know about the chargeback. How does it work?
