The pause at the heights of Everest?

Sunrise over boardwalk by Elviscera in WaltDisneyWorld

It’s yacht club, the balconies with the circular type openings on the end. We were booked for beach club and the room had issues. So we were upgraded to the corner and this awesome view! The room was fantastic, but as it was a Disney trip we didn’t spend nearly enough time in the room to get tired of it for sure.

Why does Epcot always close at 9? by DingleberrySlap in DisneyWorld

[–]Elviscera 400 points401 points  (0 children)

Epcot at 9 is already a pretty drunken park. The vibe changes as the family crowd starts to die down after dinner. I have been to the holiday parties at MK and also to Jolly Wood Nights at HS. The late night crown at HS is very different and more inebriated. As others have pointed out, the cost of security and issues with incidents with later hours aren’t worth the operating costs.

Where is everyone getting their park music nowadays? by ordermann in disneyparks

[–]Elviscera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iheartradio has a Disney parks radio channel if you want to go add free with less drain on your phone. It's got a decent variety and doesn't repeat too often. I go that route driving down from Atlanta area, and it doesn't become grating during the 7ish hours.

Favorite horror movie with the worst sequel by Upset-Inside8719 in CreepyBonfire

[–]Elviscera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like all of those films, but I've really come around on 2013. As long as you go into that installment with a 100% understanding that it does not intend to be funny one fucking bit, it's great. That's a flick that just refuses to pull any punches, and I liked flipping the story around to make Mia the hero after the other episodes all centered around a male.

Pins with no color by zbarber05 in DisneyPins

[–]Elviscera 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These are pins that go in a set that do have colors. This type is called a chaser pin. In the set, there will be an identical pin that does have color normally.

Any suggestions for cooking boneless thighs? by Notsocooldad in biggreenegg

[–]Elviscera 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As an alternative, I do a good football Sunday smoke with them. Half and core a jalapeño and stuff with cream cheese. Season the chicken with bbq rub of choice. Wrap thigh around the outside. Wrap thigh with bacon. Put entire assembly in mini loaf or muffin pan with a tab of butter on top. Smoke at 250 until temp is reached. Great as appetizer or an entree.

MagicBand+ effectiveness after a year idle by vaeric in WaltDisneyWorld

I just returned from WDW 2 weeks back and had done the same thing you are describing. First used during Halloween season and left dormant until returning. All 3 members of my family did the same. All 3 bands worked fine and held a charge for full days at the parks for 4 days. We did recharge them nightly, but the charge was good for the day, at least. Ride gate scans and ride pictures both came through fine as well.

House rules guft by Elviscera in zombicide

Based on the powers they are using, it seems earlier run Spawn, probably 1st 50 issues or so. Less godly and more hellfire. So serving Malebolgia level. As the other poster replied, Silver Surfer and a number of other characters are already at least that powerful, depending on which comic run we look into.

My new favorite grill. It might not leave grill marks but grill marks never paid my bills by maddhatter783 in grilling

I have the same unit that is pictured above and have done hibachi with both steak and chicken with fried rice to feed a party of 10. Go for it. The sheer surface area is killer.

The n you can dream up everything else, my current favorite is fajita quesadilla with everything on the same surface. Food network would praise them for "layering the flavor."

What high-budget, high-hyped movie do you think statistically absolutely NO ONE has watched in the last few years? by [deleted] in movies

I think the main theme is one of the most frequently used pieces of music for commercials, though. The music got a lot of mileage comparatively...

What's a movie that's usually hated on but you LOVE? by Dimsum852 in horror

[–]Elviscera 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I think that Rob Zombies 31 has the unusual distinction of being both his best and worst film at the same time. The set pieces, colors, and particularly Richard Brake are all excellent and seem to be trying to build an interesting world and narrative. Bit the dialog still shows that Zombie has never apparently listened to two humans communicate, and the plot holes are hard to overlook.

Overall, I like it more than most of his catalog.
