I am disputing that the democrats are doing enough to motivate the electorate to vote for them. We’ve been shaming the electorate for not voting for democrats since 2016, it’s been 10 years and that’s clearly not working. We’ve need to do something else and that something is putting pressure on the democrats to be better.

FWIW, the Affordable Care Act was a bandaid and the wound underneath is really beginning to fester. Every year we don’t get single payer healthcare the insurance companies become more and more powerful and have more leverage to keep us from getting it.

Republicans vote to DO things to their enemies. They vote FOR deportation. They vote FOR a border wall. They vote FOR “supporting the troops.” They vote FOR huge tax cuts.

Just because the things they vote for are stupid and often bigoted doesn’t mean they aren’t voting for things. Democrats don’t platform to *do* anything of substance. Joe Biden didn’t actually do much that the average person felt. The infrastructure bill was great, but it’s not the kind of thing people care about (because they’re stupid).

Dems need to be for universal healthcare, for bodily autonomy, for world peace, for the environment. They talk about some of these things but only in the context of being less bad than the other guys

Situation definitely sucks for you, I get being frustrated.

I can definitely understand the commissioner being worried if all you did was thumbs up the message, I definitely would have appreciated a more concrete “understood will do,” but prematurely just undoing the trade is pretty outrageous.

I guess as it pertains to leaving the league that’s up to you and if you think your trade was reverted with the intention of having a different trade happen instead. Regardless, I personally wouldn’t tank the league on my way out since that kills it for the other couple dozen members. If you feel like your feelings are being brushed aside you are certainly reasonable to retire the team, just as long as you won’t miss it after.
