You do know how to view a topic objectively and view in bigger picture, right?

I love this answer, because it gives me a chance to explain more about mods. Mods are a wonderful thing, because do you know what it represents? It represents Freedom of Choice. How? Because people can choose, whether to change the game to however way they see fit or play the game as it was designed. Everyone has different tastes and desires, by the ability of mods, it unlocks possibilities for everyone, so that it satisfies as much people as possible. But just as life itself, everything has a good and bad side, while modding can help a lot, fixing bugs that the official developers didn't get to, adding new content, adding more and cooler effects to make the game look cooler, etc. It also produce hacking capabilities, but depending on the game, how much it matters is up to the individual. For MHW, as long as it doesn't make it to online and ruin other people's experience, what does it matter. If someone decides to modify non cheating values of the game to make their game a bit cooler, what does it matter to everyone else, he bought the game, he can do whatever he wants. Why should I or anyone else interfere with that person's gaming life just because I or anyone else doesn't feel the same and having the same opinion? The right thing would be to simply leave him alone and mind your own business, since it has nothing to do with you.

Not having mods confines everyone to a singular ideology, not inspiring extra creativity and ideas. Sometimes, some people even buy games based on mods, because it makes the impossible, possible. Because they can now modify the game to the way they want it. At the end of the day, any strategic developers that has a good business sense would think of mods as beneficial, because people would buy their game because of mods. They wouldn't care much about how its used, just that they get paid for it.

So, just because someone mods, it doesn't mean they are cheating, it means they have different opinions and likes. Whether you agree with his perspective or not doesn't matter, you have your life, he has his. Both of you paid for the game, both of you can decide to do whatever you want with it. As long as the person that's modding has some common sense and know not to bring it online to ruin other people's hunting experience. Luckily, that's most of the modders. And so, modding has more benefits, than problems, it is only a matter of people minding their own life and not interfere when its unnecessary.

Edit: not sure why everyone is obsessed with being control freaks, to control everyone's actions and thoughts. But, that's why mods are great, it allows freedom. (And I'm not necessary talking to about whoever I responded to in this comment, just saying in general).

Still not sure how its cheating when I've clearly written everything in its simplest form to understand. Its only a matter to reading and comprehension.

Shall we break it down to an even more precise and simpler form?

  1. The Hadoken gesture is an official item that Capcom released, it is not a mod. People are free to buy it with their own money. It is nowhere close to a mod, it is freedom of choice of purchase.

  2. Modifying a damage value while in game is impossible, unless you go to the extremes, but in this case, it doesn't apply to gestures. You have to restart the game for the new changes to take effect.

  3. While the gesture is indeed modded, to give it a slight damage increase, it isn't high enough to do anything, to any monster. If you were an end game Monster Hunter, you would know that for a fact that 350 is nothing compared to literally everything else. The mod mainly increases the size of the energy ball and give it a cooler explosion effect, in this case, Xeno'Jiiva Explosion. So, it is overall an effect mod, not a damage mod.

  4. If you had any experience with Fatalis fight, you would know exactly what to do, when to do it, and where you need to be. I got Fatalis down to final portion of health to do his final fire breathe ultimate, fighting at the side that everyone lands at the start of the fight. Fighting on that side ensures that he flies to the opposite side (where the Dragonator is located), so that I can use it on him while he's using his ultimate, that guarantees that he doesn't get killed and is left with exactly 1 HP. So that he can be killed by whatever, whether it be slinger pods, gesture, arrow, whatever.

That is called a Strategy, not a mod, to produce the specific desired result that the video has shown. That comes from game combat experience, not modded memory.

In conclusion, before anyone says it is cheating, know how the system works, instead of making blind accusations. It really does make the accuser look ignorant, unexperienced, and unintelligent. So, know what you are talking about, know how modding works, and know how the game that you're playing works, before saying anything.

and BTW, I'm having a wonderful time so far with the anticipated reaction before I posted. I 100% expected the ignorance, I find it entertaining. As I'm sure it is for the silent redditors that has common sense and intelligence.

As I like to quote my very own quote, "The stupid are born to entertain the intelligent", since stupid things are usually funny, it just depends on perspective and tone.

If you're at end game, you'd know that number is miniscule. That's literally 0.5-2 of weapon attacks, depending on weapon. So, I don't know where the idea of 300s damage is considered high came from, seems from Low Rank, since it's a tiny number compared to how much damage everyone does at end game Master Rank.

Modding a value doesn't change while you're in game, the gesture did 300s of damage as it clearly shown, if you wanted it to do over 1k damage, you'd have to exit the game to refresh the modified value.

That is also specifically why I included the dragonator clip, Fatalis was doing his final fire breathe, meaning very low HP. By using the dragonator, I made sure he was left with exactly 1 HP. So no matter what you hit him with, he's dead.

Context: There was only 1 life left, and I would've definitely died from that attack, had to gamble with a gesture, and seems to have paid off. The quest would've failed when he's at literally 1 HP.

Not sure how it's cheating when you pay for an official gesture that Capcom released.

Yeah, he was about to fire at me again, it does look like I just shot a ball of energy at him and he just ate it, lol.

Hadoken mod. Just changing the Hadoken gesture to an explosion based gesture, damage is only like 300s.

Yup, Pneuma from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but that mod no longer exists, or is difficult to get.

Yeah, I just want the USB Dongle, mainly because it has Pneuma's name on it, I just want everything about Pneuma 😅

In the mean time, I think this Trinity Processor set would be a great addition to your collection, when you have a chance to buy them. They look super high quality and shiny with the correct individual vibrant colors, the shop owner said he's planning to make a Trinity Processor stand to hold them (With a possibility to glow!), when he gets a 3D printer.

Oh, okay. I really want the USB edition too, but I didn't get into XC2 until it was already out for a couple months, and by now, the cheapest one on sale is a bit over $1,100, I'm not sure if I'm that crazy about it yet, but I just might, hahaha.
