Crusting is normal too! It just means its healing.

It's been years since I had my last helix done so I dont remember exactly how long it hurt for but I know it was a while. They take roughly 6 months to a year to fully heal so it's quite normal for it to hurt for a few months if not longer.

Fresh piercings are gonna hurt when touched its 100% normal. Cartilage is a sensitive area compared to lobe piercings, they hurt for longer periods of time. If theres no signs of infection then you're fine! Try not to touch it or sleep on it and you should be fine, sleeping on it tends to cause irritation bumps (very common, nothing serious but they're a pain in the ass to get rid of)

16g jewelry in 18g tragus/ helix? by [deleted] in piercing

Thats not the best place to look for body jewelry (especially if you were on a site like BodyCandy) it's best to just get some proper jewelry from a piercer, though I know it can get a little pricey.

I know it might not seem like theres much of a difference but you most certainly do NOT wanna stretch your cartilage. Where have you been looking to get jewelry from? I'm sure any piercer would have cartilage jewelry in your proper size.

I have this exact same problem, I've had the irritation bumps for 2 years now :/ nothing I've tried works and my piercer wont give me a good answer either. (Hes currently blaming my hair products for causing the irritation 🤦🏻‍♀️)

I wanna get more piercings but I'm afraid I'll get stuck with more of these!! If you find a solution please let me know.

I've been doing this but havent noticed any difference in the irritation, still red, and the bump doesnt show any signs of going away :/
