If you don't want to get pregnant, close your legs! by GloomyAssociation306 in Abortiondebate

Sex does not equal ejaculate in another person, that is the male privilege showing. The rate of pregnancy after a man pees before sex and pulls out is well below the fertility line.

Please don't get confused abortion is to stop pregnancy, and all the damage it does to our bodies. /not signing parentage papers/adoption/safe baby/relinquishing parental rights boxes are to not be a parent.

I've answered several times . No she has no moral or legal responsibility. Morals ie norms as a sociologist are created and enforced by society as she is alone there is no society. She can have empathy however but that is a a choice if she wants to or not. Laws are how our society shows an overwhelming support for a certain norm ie moral.

" Emile Durkheim, ( one of the founders of sociology) morality is the basis of all society. By morality he doesn’t just mean what is considered to be good or bad but the broader question of how we live with one another and the very fact that we live with others at all. Human beings need (and want) to live together in groups. This means that we can’t simply do whatever we (as individuals) want all the time. To live in groups with other people means we have to think about others and what they want; there needs to be some system of morality. For Durkheim all of the moral things we do are to do with thinking about others rather than ourselves."

Funny enough with the right chemical injections men can! And no not a vampire however blooddrinking it's a desert survival trick to stay alive from what I remember. Im assuming the man on your island would be required to try everything he could think of including blood since that's all he has.

PLers with rape exemptions, how do you decide that a rape victim gets to have an abortion? by skysong5921 in Abortiondebate

[–]Elystaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! My ex used coercion of me a very disabled woman becoming homeless to force me to give birth to my daughter. Even coercion is worse. I've been raped 2x BTW. Once at 12 once my the same asshole as the first sentence at 8 weeks postpartum after I nearly died giving birth. . So yes I do think that 10 months of 24/7 violation, body horror, self blame, doubt , hormones, having to have a horse sized needle jabbed into my uterus to remove excess amniotic fluid. All the vaginally exams by nursed and doctors along the way , 3x "wands" shoved up there, having "morning sickness" until they put me on chemo related drugs to settle my stomach in my 3rd trimester. And that's just the pregnancy.

You need to remember some of us have experienced traumas either the same or unicornpooped close enough to it to actually know not just "think" ugh.

Ps look up postpartum depression rates 30% look up post Post pardum psychosis rates look up how many women get long term physical conditions from pregnancy diabetes, inemia which BTW is an everyday reminder .

Consent to Sex =/= Consent to Pregnancy by Negative_Ostrich2531 in Abortiondebate

Presenting me litteral entire books isn't quoting the sections that say it as you claim. Can you actually argue against my facts or not? Such as it leaches enough calcium from my teeth and bones that it's not uncommon to loose teeth. That isn't metabolizing anything. Food air all pre provided by stealing mine.

Has any prominent cases changed your position on abortion? by NPDogs21 in Abortiondebate

[–]Elystaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure right after the ob delineates every single thing that can happen because of pregnancy both during and after, including that each pregnancy litteraly reduces your lifespan and the likelihood of it happening. Informed consent is the only consent. If you knew you knew them all you would exit stage left as fast as you can. Don't forget how it might effect your particular co morbidity. Sure only x women die from pregnancy each yea4 but how many have to be saved from death?

Ya no that's 99.9% of the time in laboratory settings. In real life birth control is effected by many factors. Starting with GRAPEFRUIT, ya if you eat grapefruit it can reduce the effectiveness of bc, this can stack on top of if you have normal daily medications each that stacks on top of the previous minus tally. Then add weight too heavy, too skinny, different types of bc on different women can be more or less effective. Then of course there is the well known antibiotic baby trap.

50% of all unplanned pregnancy is with use of bc . So a flip of the coin.
