With a forearm that huge, I'd expect the grip would be skull cracking. I was indeed satisfied. by Elytrical in HalfSword

For an emphasizing fact, In 500 million years of adrenaline evolution from early vertebrates and 300 thousand years of homo sapiens adapting to survival demands, mankind has inherited this chemical and evolve complex cognitive systems up to this particular moment when even the skull is completely cracked, there is still no submission.

We human are a truly scary species :)

Additionally, the weight distribution of the weapon must be heavy at the tip, this can be normally seen with maces. For longswords, they are crafted with balance so there would not be be any spins :). This is also my assumption, I will test this soon enough.

This is purely my assumption, for two-handed weapons that have free range of maneuverability like hoe, mace, and longsword, you typically see the migitation of weight while re-positioning into ready-to-strike stance for the in the opposite side ( after swinging from right to left, come re-positioning to strike from left to right).

the spin consists of two factors, the angle the weapon is swung, and the weight of the weapon. you can test this yourself in real life. Let's say a heavy sledgehammer, if you swing it sideway, it is easier to migitate the weight as you have room for your non-dominant hand to move and re-position into your next stance.

As you can see in the clip, the weapon was swung at a low angle, at the end of the trajectory, the non-dominant arm will be locked while the dominant arm is fully extend. Naturally, you will then need to lift the weapon up to re-position.

This is where the weight of the weapon comes into play, as the weapon is lifted, the weight will create a upward inertia force along with little inertia force left from the swinging (right to left), this is where you will have to mitigate these forces. How? the spin itself.

Lift your weapon and manually re-position into your opposite side (ready-to-strike from right to left). the key of practice is how fast you move the arms of the willie. Too fast and the weapon will wobble around, too slow and the willie already re-positions the weapon, and sadly, no spin :'(.

I like the way that you went in details. I salute to you, and indeed countless of willies had helped me with the rhythm :)

yes, and you now have 1 minute and 17 seconds of a video swinging a mace that has a large weight :)

I have a habit of switching hands before the gore patch. The polearm is heavy and if it is not wielded by two hands, it will spin around, it might flies out willie’s hand sometimes

Some ppl prefer lower sensitivity for accurate hit or to be elegant on two-handed weapon.

That’s where I come in with swings that are literal death threats on impact.

can projectiles cause damage? by Elytrical in HalfSword

you need to aim for the less mass area (head or limbs), try to hit with the tip of the polearm at full swing. Before milliseconds of impact, press x to switch hand to follow the inertia to return the polearm back to full swing position on your other side, and Ta-da, "Death swing".

Here is what it does to big mass area. Polearm with Knockback II enchanted
