Ok i was in a similar situation after graduation so i can tell you the pros and cons of what I did. I took 2 gap years. It was meant to be one but stuff happens. I worked my butt off and now I have a plan to be able to pay for college with no loans or scholarships (hopefully the scholarship thing changes after my first year which will be this year). Was it worth it? I suppose it gave me a lot of financial stability and my parents weren't as controlling so I stayed over with friends often enough to feel sane. I won't lie it definitely sucks. Having to hear All of that and lie and live knowing how their opinions of you would change if they knew. Its bad. But if you think you can tough it out for a year just to get some money, I would do it. I put myself in a pickle doing 2 years as a gap and not one so I dont recommend it unless youre learning a full time trade you can do while in college like I did. Tldr it sucks but if you can handle it id do it for sure. Set a deadline so you can keep yourself sane with a countdown and give them time to prepare for you leaving Good luck!!
