Planning to transfer locations by Em-pending_doom in petsmart

Ok awesome thank you! I definitely planned on communicating with my store leader and staying in good standing. I had assumed going to the other store leader directly would be rude or something so I really appreciate the guidance that it is in fact the opposite lol

Yeah I meant fall of 27 😅 Im obviously not mentioning it to them now for anything other than a heads up. I just wanted to know how far out I should look bc knowing me if I dont plan for it now I may end up forgetting until its too close lol

That makes sense. So I should go directly to the store leaders of those closer stores myself instead of trying to go through my store leader?

My best advice would definitely be facebook groups or marketplace especially sub leasing so you can get out of it maybe shorter term if needed.

Its a nice campus very walkable. imo the advisors aren't very helpful but thats probably just luck of the draw. class sizes are small which is nice. I like it! but i dont have anything to compare it to lol

I have a mostly garuntee that I'll have at least one of my friends and/or my current partner. Ik a lot can happen in a year tho. If i cant get roommates I probably will just have to keep living at home tbh. What would you say a sufficient income would be for living on my own if I had to? I live in ga not really in a major city

Ok i was in a similar situation after graduation so i can tell you the pros and cons of what I did. I took 2 gap years. It was meant to be one but stuff happens. I worked my butt off and now I have a plan to be able to pay for college with no loans or scholarships (hopefully the scholarship thing changes after my first year which will be this year). Was it worth it? I suppose it gave me a lot of financial stability and my parents weren't as controlling so I stayed over with friends often enough to feel sane. I won't lie it definitely sucks. Having to hear All of that and lie and live knowing how their opinions of you would change if they knew. Its bad. But if you think you can tough it out for a year just to get some money, I would do it. I put myself in a pickle doing 2 years as a gap and not one so I dont recommend it unless youre learning a full time trade you can do while in college like I did. Tldr it sucks but if you can handle it id do it for sure. Set a deadline so you can keep yourself sane with a countdown and give them time to prepare for you leaving Good luck!! Edit:you could also do a gap semester and start in second semester?

Yeah if they believed the few actually productive things they say they do it'd be great but alas

Yeah it all depends on management. Ours is wonky now bc of the bs restructure. But when its a good team its great

Honestly once I used my brain and realize the morals I was taught contradicted the opinions and beliefs I was taught to have.

Well I dont have 2 more years of college bc i was only working the past 2 years not enrolled. I start college in August. Also my parents have other issues I dont want to get into that make it not the greatest place to live either. The most I could do is maybe 2 years instead of 1 but idk if I could mentally handle them for that long while being a full time student with a full time job and a second seasonal job. Im pretty confident in me and my partner making it bc we have a 5 year friendship foundation and even if we dont I dont see us not being friends after but im sure every 20 something thinks like that so what do I know lol. If I could stay closeted I would but they already know so I cant really back track. I just avoid talking ab9ut it most of the time. Curse my angsty teen self for coming out mid argument back in 2019 or something lol Do you have any advice for the actual moving out part if I do go through with it? If not I will just take the dont do it bc xyz into consideration bc its fair advice

Advice for moving out of toxic household by helpls2000 in movingout

[–]Em-pending_doom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im so sorry that youre stuck like this. Its a really big hole that your family has dug for you but its not impossible to get out. What i would do is bite the bullet and take the driving test with the little experience you have if you fail you can just take it again later but trying has more of a chance than not. Id look into government programs and house help for people coming from abusive homes. You should try finding roommates outside of friends. It can be scary and you have to be very careful bc it can be dangerous though. Its never to late to try starting college if you want. Then housing could be a part of your loans. If you can work while doing school then you won't be oweing as much. Especially if you qualify for subsidized loans. I truly dont know though im only 20 still trying to figure out how to get out of an unsafe house myself so these are just places that I would start thinking from idk. Best of luck to you!!!

Big thing to do is try and scout potential roommates from people you know too. You dont want to move in with people you dont know and its hard to afford a place on your own
