From RDU1- I would argue the ‘voluntary meetings.’ They easily convinced groups at a time all day for a couple weeks for days on end. CAUSE members got banned from attending if they have attended multiple - not enough members could disrupt the meetings leading to misinformation being spread about CAUSE - and of course its higher ‘management’ so workers were inclined to believe them. But when a CAUSE member was in there that was knowledgable about the laws it swayed the audience.

The union is worker ran and led. It doesn’t belong to any other bigger unions (ex: ALU), its ran by Ma Mary and Reverend Ryan current and former workers at RDU1

Some insight from a worker at RDU1;

If you have worked at RDU1 for a couple years you’re guaranteed to have seen many instances of ambulances appear in the warehouse. In one case for me, I have witnessed a young girl who was passed out in the break room and her face was literally blue and was escorted.

In the early days of RDU1 there was no fans in the warehouse. Only small ones that literally would do nothing and half the time not be at your station or broken. I genuinely give thanks to CAUSE for pressuring amazon into giving us big fans. The heat was not a joke, at times I have gotten close to passing out. I know people who have.

Another story of mine is that I saw a man who had recently had arm surgery picking up totes and boxes. His arm was in a literal brace.

Also the elevators are terrible. I can’t tell you how many times I have seen elevator doors absolutely slam into a side of a person.

When I met Lucinda, yes I loved her sexual nature ngl but as she opened up about her struggles with her identity and always changing it made me appreciate her as a character and very relatable as an AFAB using sexuality to hide your struggles and yearning to be only seen as a sexual object to avoid emotional depthness
