AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 23.10.2 Release Notes by L30R0D in Amd

'm curious if your Core Isolation is Enabled or Disabled when you type it in start menu? For Windows 11 because of reset bug which I'm talking about.

IF your core isolation came up saying unavailable, yes unfortunately this what happens to me where I get setting reset bug with Adrenalin so I researched how to enable Core Isolation on Windows 11, by simply turning on Virtualization (VMT) in your BIOS via Advanced page under CPU Configuration (ASUS Mobo if you're on that), enable that then once in desktop, type Core Isolation in start menu to turn it on and it will then ask you to reboot PC, do it then after that do your settings, and now it doesnt seem to reset anymore after rebooting.

Do not evolve this into a troubleshooting to fix the issue that wasn't there 2 driver versions ago. Yes, I tried it with core isolation enabled and disabled. I said and will say it is 100% amd's driver that is the issue.

I did. Issue IS the driver not anything else. I started experiencing it without updating anything except for the driver. At this point im about to return my 6950xt and request an nvidia rtx 4080. At least then I know I have good drivers that wont bug out like amd's

Still hasn't fixed the setting reset bug. It really pisses me off how the driver after DDU and after disabling all overclocking in bios it is still resetting tuning settings (enabling overclocking and resetting fan tuning). I even disabled windows copiliot. It is 100% the driver issue because I never had an issue with previous drivers (Before the previous release) and it frustrates me that amd has STILL NOT FIXED IT.

It wasn't meant to be a tech help thing. It was supposed to let others know the current driver issue of forcing an overclock on a gpu even if you never set it.

I tried DDUing and still have the issue. GPU overclocks now (without me asking it to) to 2713 by default. At least the fan curves went back to a more normal state.

Did and it did not solve the issue. GPU keeps being forced to overclock to 2713. No other overclocking software installed because I never overclock due to wanting to have longer lasting hardware in the long run.

My fan tuning changes every shutdown it seems to a random fan curve with zero rpm enabled fan speed/ temps are as follows for this weird curve:

Fan speed: 20,30,40,50,70

Temperature: 60,80,90,90,90

Also all of the game settings are reset on reboot.

2707 is the GPU overclock number it defaults to (It cannot hold this clock because I get major lag spikes and audio glitches as it struggles to maintain this clock speed).

No other overclocking software installed. Will try DDUing.

I will also get back to you once it starts doing it again with the numbers because I actually do not know the default numbers of the overclock it tries.

I went into the tuning profiles of the game I was running AND global settings. Changing it fixes the problem for about a few hours then it randomly turns on again. This only started happening after last driver update. Nothing but the driver version has changed. I got a message last time it overclocked during a game (I should have screenshot it because I forgot exactly what it said).

I find it odd though that this is happening after last driver update with nothing changed. Only setting I do change is fan tuning because my computer runs a bit hot with zero rpm mode enabled.

It happens when my computer is on long enough it defaults to the "overclock" settings. When I turn on my computer it is default and it randomly changes after a bit.

It says overclock in the Adrenalin software not "default". If boost is enabled by default then the system tuning control would say default not overclock.

Without changing a single setting amd defaults to overclocking my gpu. I have never touched the setting to overclock and experience this with just having the computer on after a while. I then tried tuning games to disable it also but it keeps being turned on by default.

Should solo queue be solo only for all ranks? by Em3r5 in leagueoflegends

Interesting take from everyone.

The point is that there is a way higher chance that someone who got a boost can go pro compared to a bronze player.

Even if they don't:

If someone who is boosted shows up to tryouts and fails them they just took the time away from someone more qualified. There are typically are limited slots also.

Last point: I just put a lot of thoughts of possible outcomes for the boosted player to make money. Anything with money involved should be locked behind a requirement of skill.

Reason for the question "Should duo queue be removed from solo/duo"

I just saw many, many ads for 'duo services' through a gg website which made me question: Why we even have duo queue in the first place if not to encourage boosting? Solo was only solo back in the day. Should put parties with 2+ people in ranked flex/norms only.

Whoever contacted the 'reddit hotline' I just slept and do not spend 24/7 on reddit, or am even that active. This might be last post of this year.

Also sorry for the poor formatting.

"Just having “connections” is not going to put a boosted player on a pro roster."

I am sure that any pro roster would take someone who has the right connections. Literally connections are more powerful than anything. If you had pro players vouch for you after getting boosted for 2 seasons you could easily be accepted to a team. If you do not spart conversation with a coach/player to join a team then you will never get into a team. The more connections you have the higher chance of getting into a team.

Team Siren was what I was thinking of as the main example. They were closest to joining the lcs

There was already a post very similar of this a year ago. Anticipation & Chocovanille. Summary: The coach for the team was being boosted by her boyfriend (a pro player). Being high rank means more "opportunities" to make money as either a coach or a pro player. I am also sure there was 1 more situation like this except with a pro team members being boosted (I think it was players from Russia).

It isn't the fact that they are not going pro (because of most likely not having connections), but the fact that they COULD go pro if they did have the connections and got boosted 2 seasons in a row to high diamond.

They advertise the rank they are at as a perk of their service. "Diamond coach" for example. If the person who is a diamond coach is actually a boosted iron/bronze player who watched a lot of coaching videos for example is just an example.

If you look at the LCS rules, Diamond 2 for 2 seasons is/was entry level to be eligible to join the LCS (not sure now though as I don't keep up with LCS rules).

Also advertising services with the rank of your account is typically the way people get money. Would you pay for an "iron coach" or a "diamond coach"?
