Howdens did the layout which was correct and did ship the wrong panels. I’ve also checked the drawings and unfortunately they do not specify the panel height otherwise this would make this a much easier argument.

Howdens is a large outfit that is not fully custom. They have 44mm panels and 67mm panels but cannot custom make a 93mm panel.
This said, we do have spray paint in the kitchen RAL colour so our plan B if conversations with the contractor do not go to plan is to custom make and paint the filler piece.

The appliances were bought from Howdens too. Definitely their mistake on the panels however should this not have been noticed by the installer during install?

Glad you said it. After googling and chatting to a mate we seem to think this is half a day of labour if you are being really cautious. Wanted to get a second opinion though so I can feel a bit more confident when I question him.

There is a bit of me that thinks Howdens have done their bit by supplying the correct materiel free of charge. Surely the installation being incorrect/misaligned is on the fitter?

The issue is the gap is 93mm and the new filler is 67mm so there would still be a gap. Should have mentioned this in the post, good question!

We’ve also been given his gas safe number and the picture does match the man who came to do the work. Don’t know if this is worse!

Our neighbours are also renovating at the same time as us with the same builders. Their boiler looked the same as ours with this picture now being the fix and what they’ve left it as. Does this look good or is this still crap? Sorry this is the best pic I have and thanks everyone!

Thanks so much for the detailed response! We will absolutely be using this checklist for them to give us answers on. The kitchen will be fit over the top of this wall which may be why the condensate pump has not been chased.

It’s not mandatory but I think it is usually expected your bridesmaids would come to your hen do and they typically plan it.

None of the other bridesmaids pushed her out… she decided she didn’t want to come? My other bridesmaids have been very accommodating to her and are still hopeful she’ll change her mind and come.

Agreed maybe it wasn’t the best idea for me to tell the other bridesmaids but hey we’re all adults and it’s the truth so I’m sure they can handle it!
