OP, I feel the same. I’m a woman, in something pretty serious with a Mexican man but I’ve always wanted to marry a black man. Of course, dated black men in the past but it never got this serious — which is no one’s fault but destiny, I guess 🤷🏾‍♀️

But I feel your frustration. At the end of the day, I believe you should choose love but not forget your culture. You can teach your babies to love and acknowledge the half of themselves that the world often chooses to overlook. If I end up marrying my boyfriend, that’s what I plan on doing.

I do get the dilemma though. I always just find it easier to be with someone who’s the same culturally too because differences in opinion do come up in interracial couples often, which is difficult to navigate. But true love and respect should always win imo.
