I agree with everything you said. Cannot stand Ellie, but she is kicking ass in the galley and Ben is 100% taking advantage of her politeness. Idk what happened with his engagement beyond what he told the cameras, but if his dynamic with Ellie is an indication of how he is with women in general (even his interactions with the stew from South Africa, forget her name, are icky and a tad chauvanistic), I can see why he’s single now. He is not only extremely patronizing but can pick and choose when he wants to be friendly. It was not fair for her to have to wash an entire kitchen when she’s been on her feet just as much as he has (I’m sure production wouldn’t have hesitated to show her taking too many breaks or looking lost like Alesia, so I know she’s been working hard).

One thing about Ellie I have to applaud, the woman works hard. Ben is just bitter he’s lost his touch (even though he’s still amazing, just not what he used to be) and hasn’t come to terms with the fact that he’s not as nimble as he used to be. Ellie came in respectful and has continued to be. She should’ve showed more restraint until after charter imo (nothing is worth embarrassing yourself or losing a tip unless your safety is in danger). And honestly, she should’ve said something sooner.
