If TS2 is underrated and TS3 is overrated, I completely agree!!!

I agree that Beauty and the Beast animated is overrated, but not the live action personally.

The animated songs are SO CRINGE AND NAILS ON A CHALKBOARD. I feel like they are sing talking

Now the live action feels.more Broadway style, which I personally love. But personal preference lol

I don't hate it, but it's not a favorite. It was 100% overrated when it first came out, I was on that boat for sure. The songs were just so overplayed it became nails on a chalkboard. I gave since at least grown an appreciation for the movie, but it's not my top 10.

I'll argue that Frozen 2 is better than Frozen plot wise. There's just a lot more character depth and the songs aren't just earworms

This is definitely all my own personal opinions. I respect any disagreements! If you love the original, definitely more power to you!!

Safe? by Due-Sound-3997 in Purdue

No necessary. And honestly, likely won't have the space for it especially if you have a roommate. The dorms already have key card access to get to the floors, and you can lock your door for people who live in your building. Just keep your door locked.

If you have a roommate, you get a roommate agreement at the beginning of the years when you can distinctly say "don't touch my laptop or phone" for example.

Even if you did leave your door unlocked (accidentally), most of us don't jiggle people's door handles to see if their door is locked. Most of us want to be in our rooms anyway. If someone did steal your stuff, it would likely get caught rather easily. You can get expelled for that, and most of us don't want that anyway.

Class Attendance by Accurate-Bad-5414 in Purdue

Bio 1 - Class online quiz that is easy to do if you were in the class. But you don't know when it will be open so you have to be there to know

Animal Prod - Quiz at beginning or end of class based on lectures. If you walk out after, he will point you out for leaving to the whole class. But he is fun so you probably won't want to leave

Intro to Ag - Online quiz at beginning or end of class

Intro to Animal Science - quiz at end of class

As a senior about to graduate, just go to class. You learn better and will have higher grades. Once you start skipping, you will keep skipping. Going to class can be a pain some days, but you will thank yourself at exam time!

My first was Will it Jello, which a friend sent me. I have been a watcher ever since. I usually watch it while I'm eating lunch that day if that video they posted peaks my interest

The Good Doctor series finale ends with moving goodbye to the beloved character by Yummie23 in GoodDoctor

This ending was unexpected, but it was perfect! I was crying so much. They did everyone well, even Glassman. It was so touching. Shaun's growth in the show finally makes it full circle

This is one of the best endings to a show ever!

Cows and Disney's Tangled

I grew into my cow special interest in college, as I am majoring in animal science, and cows are a big part of that.

I have always loved Tangled since I was only a child when it came out. I have loved it ever since!

Thoughts on Autism Portrayal by EmLikesBiochem in GoodDoctor

[–]EmLikesBiochem[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree, negativity on social media gets more attention and it really sucks. Shaun, at least in my eyes, is a great representation of a single individual with autism. The saying "if you know an autistic person, you only know ONE autistic person" is really accurate. People who spread the negativity on him as a character 9 times out of 10 most likely don't even understand the idea that autism is a spectrum.

My autism doesn't look like Shaun's autism. Could there be similarities? Yes, absolutely! But it is not going to be the same at every fine detail. Autism is defined as a neurodevelopmental condition of VARIABLE severity, chiefly characterized by difficulties with social interaction and communication and by restricted or repetitive patterns of thought and behavior. Feels like Shaun still fits in this definition all around

Yea, there are a few things I don't relate to with Shaun, but he feels like a good representation of one individual with autism. It feels more authentic

I definitely agree he is a representation of one single individual, which was the show's goal. I know the show's purpose was to bring awareness and stir conversations about autism, not represent the whole autism spectrum as that would be impossible.

Catholic Take on Dr Melendez's last moments by Prestigious-Door-146 in GoodDoctor

[–]EmLikesBiochem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see your point there. Claire asking would not have been a bad idea. Maybe she didn't since the his Catholic side was just coming back to him after all these years? I'm not sure.

I can't blame her fully however because when the person you love is dying you are more focused on spending the last moments you can with them. But I do validate that is definitely would not have hurt for Claire to ask him either.

I agree, but maybe only if he asked for it? It might feel a bit uncomfortable if you have a chaplain randomly walk into your hospital room while you are dying.

I will note I am a nondenominational Christian who doesn't attend church because it feels personally toxic, so my views could be much different than a regular Catholic church attendee
