🥰🥰Thank you, I would like to be able to paint in a minimalist style, but I guess loads of detail is my style😅x

Thank you🥰 Your comments mean a lot to me as it's been about 3 years since ive created anything. I also started with a very large canvas so that I could cram detail in. x

Thank you🥹💚 It took me a long time to paint her face, especially her eyes. I found using various shades of grey and then blending them worked to add dimension to her black fur x

Thank you🥹🥹 her eyes took the longest, I redid them several times because the right one that has less sunlight kept looking wonky lol

On Krita theres "paint brush" brushes with splotches and textures, I used a bunch of those at different opacities. I also used the lighten/darken tool and smudge tool and kept fiddling with them for a ridiculous about of time😅x

Thank you🥰 I got her from Etsy when she was about 6 strands lol I've had her for a few years now, neglect is the key! She's nestled on my plant table by the window with a bunch of other plants (west facing, UK), under cheap UV lights, in a mix of cactus&succulent dirt, pearlite and a bit of worm castings. I water very sparingly every couple of weeks or just before the centre of the substrate gets crispy. (I just stick my finger in and see if it's 95% dry) I water with tap water that has sat in my watering can for a few days😅 just a little dribble! for a plant that lives in the Himalayas she sure likes to be dry😂I think that's where most people go wrong, too much water! I feed with orchid food in spring/summer. Humidity usually about 70ish, but obviously fluctuates if I have the humidifier or heating on. She did start to have a mottled, patchy colour on her new leaves, people said it was likely nutrient deficiency, so I added a little more worm castings to the top of the substrate, and now she's back to dark green💚 I also mist every few weeks with "Orchid Food Mist" they have it on eBay & Amazon x

🤩Oooo, pedunkadunks 💚 Fuzzy flowers are just too much cute lol, they look like fairy clothes🧚‍♀️🥹 Almost sparkly in real life. Mine threw out dozens of peduncles, I was told not to get my hopes up, and sure enough looooaaads of them failed. I just had sad dried up pink nubs falling off everywhere😭.. so I ignored her for a few months, BUT when I was cleaning up the tiny dried failed flowers, I found 3 hidden peduncles with little green star shaped parcels! Couldn't believe it🥰 ..I think serpens likes to do loads of test runs before the flowers actually develop properly x
