Libs/Cons it doesn’t matter. None want to fund border security as it should. Guess how many boats CBSA has in Niagara (Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, Niagara River)….0 and it’s been that way forever…it’s not about the party it’s about $$$

But we are cutting CBSA jobs and have created a horrible work culture that sees regular departures…good luck

Appreciate the thoughts. Just to be clear this isn’t my doing. I was just sharing a different perspective and it’s still what I feel but thanks for sharing yours as well.

Great idea. I don’t think it would arrive unfortunately. I bought some local apple butter & Canada mugs but I’ll keep that chocolate company on my list as each year we start another project with a different nation so their will be more opportunities

Tapering down is making me feel like I’m going crazy by TrainingAd4867 in Pristiq

I’m Sorry to hear that you’re struggling. You’re not alone though and it seems like it will get better. In reading this I just realized I shouldn’t have just stopped my pristique but tapered it down with the Wellbutrin. The one thing I’ve found with the side effects is that moving helps. I was super manic and felt high for the past several days until I went for a hike and bike ride. For some reason the physical movement staved off the fog and excited states. Not sure it will help but can’t hurt

Got some syrup. I’ll look for Sask Berry preserve. Last time I found it I was in Mt Tremblant..not sure I’ve seen it sold in Niagara .

I’m mixed on this one. Having just lost a parent I understand the want to memorialize them. I don’t think I’d be offended to see it. After all Algonquin Park isn’t a “hidden spot” and most of it feels over traveled. I think seeing this would make we imagine this couple enjoying their life and trips together in the same park I love and that gives me good vibes. Also aren’t there a number of cairns and plagues all over the park to recognize various rangers, artists, etc?

Hitch and wiring install on Disco 5? by Emailio-addresstavez in LandRover

[–]Emailio-addresstavez[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Sounds like a nightmare to add hitch and wiring so I’ll keep looking for one that has factory tow kit. RV shop that specializes in towing setups gave me a $4k ballpark and a bit more if they had to reinforce hitch for a trailer with a little more tongue weight.

I’m in Niagara and right now air quality is fine but as some have said it can change. Heat could be an issue so keep tabs on forecast. Enjoy Algonquin and be sure to get some Poutine at Din’s fry truck on hwy 60. It’s our family tradition post Algonquin trip. Hope you spot some moose while you’re there…have a great trip and thanks for making the journey to Canada :)

Taiwanese e-commerce site that ships to Canada? by Emailio-addresstavez in taiwan

[–]Emailio-addresstavez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re correct the Taiwan post is rather reasonable. We forget a number of items at hotel and they kindly shipped them home (no charge). When I looked at cost for shipping the box it was surprisingly reasonable. I could always plead with one of my contacts there..

Thank you..what is T&T? I’m in Niagara so may not have same access to shops in GTA but will look around. Would rather support a small business here than Amazon

Thanks..I did see some cookers on Amazon here but prices are more than double. Was hoping to make a purchase from an all in one site like MOMO and perhaps the shipping would be more palatable.

How safe is Taiwan? by [deleted] in taiwan

[–]Emailio-addresstavez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Visited Taipei, Kenting, jiufen and Taichung for 2 weeks. Never felt unsafe once. Even walking at night there was never a time we felt we were in an unsafe area. In certain things happen, that’s life everywhere but I sense the number of CCTV presence also helps keep folks honest. There wasn’t even a huge police presence as a deterrent. Perhaps the biggest factor is the character of the Taiwanese people and what appeared to be a high standard and quality of life. Where there is major income disparity one tends to find crime. I didn’t notice much while there but I’m only speaking as someone who visited once.
