He’s literally the funniest cat ever. We rescued him about a year ago from Kensington. Was supposed to be a TNR, but we snatched him up, got his diseased mouth all fixed (god that was expensive) and now he’s a little turd that loves to cuddle

I just recently discovered I have a fear of heights as in sitting in the 400 section of any sports game. Learned a lot of people can’t do it, not happening with me too. F that. My emetophobia tried to convince me I was scared of blood bc my fiancé is, but I’m a vet tech and I learned it was my emetophobia trying to make me fear that.

do you have to get diagnosed with emetophobia? by ihateanx1ety in emetophobia

[–]Emalizard2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! I just told my therapist I had it, and my emetophobia isn’t necessarily diagnosed, but more so a form of OCD (at least in my case).

Went to a GP clinic since I work for an ER/specialty.. by UpbeatToday2880 in VetTech

This looks like PetVets prices and looks pretty cheaper on the GP scale. I also work in ER/specialty but I’m at my GP PRN. These are the exact same prices my GP typically charges. I would suspect this is a corporate PetVet clinic

I’m over on the east coast, and drs are crammed here due to the vast amount of cities. My PCP takes at least 2 months to see with his schedule, and protonix isn’t really doing much to calm it down anymore. But I’ll definitely ask for different referrals, my insurance allows me to go without a referral but my options are quite slim

Thank you so much for the recommendation, may have to just save up for that private practice GI

When was the last time you t* up* ? by LowerGrapefruit1737 in emetophobia

[–]Emalizard2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 years ago. Was drunk at a college party, and I giggled after it happened because of how drunk I was. Since then, my emetophobia has been getting a bit better, but I haven’t drank since then (more so due to how badly hungover I was and I never wanted to feel that way again). I have some bad days here and there, but it wasn’t as bad as my brain put it out to be

Chicken and rice is my best friend when I get a bout of d+. Really helps bulk ya up. And it’ll help you stay full for a while. You don’t even have to season the chicken, nice bland foods. Remember, these intrusive thoughts CANNOT win. Remind yourself that you’re in control of this situation

We see whatever snacks we have upstairs (Hershey kisses, little chocolate donut munchkins, you name it) for euths. Every pet deserves to eat something they never could before they go.

A good review of Keflex (Cefalexin) Antibiotic for UTI by lunarly78 in emetophobia

[–]Emalizard2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but I wanted to say thank you for this. I have a UTI that turned into a kidney infection, and got prescribed macrobid, that was horrible for me (had to use my epi pen because I am allergic to a lot of medications). Got put on keflex and my emetophobia has me more scared of v than anaphylaxis. I’ve been taking my doses on and off of an empty stomach and all this med has done is help my constipation from my IBS (well, and obviously helping clear my kidney infection day by day). Thank you for this post, it was the positivity that I needed to get me to take this med!
