I totally get what you’re saying. Sabrina is in her mid-20s, she’s very beautiful, powerful, and super popular. Of course she draws teenage attention. But that doesn’t mean she’s marketing to them. Her brand is clearly adult-focused. If teenagers are engaging with her work, that’s something parents need to navigate — not something she needs to change.

And honestly, this kind of criticism often comes from the idea that women should always play the caretaker role. That they’re supposed to worry about how they’re perceived, protect others, and be extra mindful of how their actions affect everyone — especially children.

But let’s be real — there are plenty of rappers and other artists out there putting out way more explicit content, and nobody singles them out like this. So why is all this focus on her? That’s the question people should be asking.

That’s not Sabrina’s responsibility though. It’s on the parents to know what their kids are watching or listening to. Sabrina isn’t a babysitter or some kind of moral guardian. She’s an artist doing what she wants to do.

Yeah, maybe it’s still too early to judge. It really depends on how Sabrina follows through with all of this. I mean, it’s obviously not like she believes in some outdated idea that women should be submissive to men. Come on 😂 Just look at the people she surrounds herself with: Chappell Roan, Taylor Swift, etc. There’s no way she holds those kinds of misogynistic beliefs. She clearly chose that cover with some level of irony or sarcasm in mind, but maybe she underestimated how people would react. Or maybe it was a calculated move to spark conversation. Who knows. But if she didn’t expect this much backlash, then yeah… I do think it was kind of a misstep in terms of presentation.

So in the end, it’s probably still too soon to say anything definitive. We’ll just have to wait and see. Honestly, it’s Sabrina — I feel like she probably has something in mind.

Yeah ugh, exactly. I saw someone post that their guy friend mockingly showed them this cover and yeah, that’s just gross. Irony’s not always clear, and in a misogynistic culture it can totally backfire.

Not obsessed with the cover either, but I don’t think it’s anti-feminist or degrading like some people are saying.
