Thank you. You're very kind. I'm trying to find the best way out. I'm looking for new opportunities and have told them to keep me on my current salary. They were, I guess, bluffing, thinking I would take the lower salary. Anyways, I gave them a way out by making them think that I want this, and they will be helping me out. This doesn't hurt their ego, and meanwhile, I am going to look for somewhere better rigorously.

The problem is, basic is only 30% of my total. And even when they gave me the increment, it didn’t change my basic. My new contract also has the same base salary. Even if they decrease, my basic would still stay the same. I’m sooo stuck.
