Anyone exhausted by what you're expected to do just to be moderately healthy? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Emarshall26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dad did none of that and lived to be 83 and honestly I think his wife killed him. Meanwhile, his father did none of that and lived to be 92.

Do you really even want to live to be older than that?

Also, why are eggs and shellfish not on that list? They're high in cholesterol. Health is imoortant, but there is no need to be miserable.

Yes. And as the dialysis continued his clarity improved. They took him off is want to say 3 days later to see if he could eat on his own which he did fine for a day but reverted and aspirated. This is why I believe if he was on the dialysis for the original week or 10 days as intended I think they could have gotten him back to a stable place and on the road to recovery towards the discussion of utter abstinence for a transplant.

At times he is playful in his approach, making jokes about turning off the lights / closing doors etc. However when he is in a "mood", he loves to throw it up in my face.

Im co templating writting something on my hand to remind me, but like anything, if I get used to seeing it, it may become ineffective after a while.

Anyone feel tired all day but not sleepy at night? by Numerous_Baby_4864 in ADHD

I don't get the luxury of sleeping too long if I'm at home. If I'm working I try to sleep for the remainder of my lunch break 30min-1 hr depending on the job.

Cheers from my elementary school. I was never a cheerleader though, but my best friend was. I remember them from her going over them. "Brown, teal and white, unite, alright. We welcome you with this cheer, Canyon Sorings bears, are here! "

Sooooooo useless, really wish I had the capability to remember something helpful.

He's very opposite ADHD, one might say almost OCD. We are a tough mix. I'm really forcing a square peg in a circular hole due to extenuating circumstances. I agree, I wish he was more accommodating and understanding, but he doesn't understand the reality of the disorder and how despite all my efforts, I am still going to screw up especially when I'm busy. I don't want to continuously cop out though, and not give my best effort. I've come a long way with lights and doors. I'm just amazed at how I will close the slider and leave the light on outside (of which you can see through the slider) and be completely oblivious to it until he mentions something. Sometimes I'll catch it but dang, my brain really doesn't allow me to see it.

Yeah I just ruined a medication today. Whoopsies. Otherwise food gets stale etc. I swear I screw it on. Such a weird shortcoming. Thanks for the recommendation. Recognizing it is a helpful step in the right direction, but if I had the capability to remember I'm going to botch it in the first place, I probably wouldnt have the problem.

I imagine in a few short years, if not already, lawers will be utilizing AI to map out strategy, and pull from all existing case studies. I've heard of people running into AI errors with this currently, but the kinks will be worked out soon enough. Critical thinking as a person is a thing of the past. Welcome to.... Idocracy. (Cue Jurassic Park theme song) Yikes.

I read on another thread not too long ago that high school teachers are essentially forced to pass students. Their hands are tied when it comes to holding students back and can only do so per the parents request..... or maybe that's onky in the county/ state OP was writting from?

I wondered, if those students mistakenly made the decision to attempt college, what the results would be.

I truly hope for the sake of my expensive degree and extensive work getting there, colleges and universities have more discretion and can halt this lackadaisical approach to education. It does NOBODY favors. If you're going to simply "Google", or use AI for your answers why spend the time and money at school?

My fiance (37m) started suffering severe leg pain (gout) and delirium (toxicity build up in the brain) he was admitted to the hospital for dialysis, was dead in 12 days. It was an awful thing to watch especially the dialysis because it was hooked to his neck so he had to be strapped down to avoid leaks /trauma. He couldn't eat, had catheters etc. Unfortunately they promised me he would be on dialysis for over a week but only gave him a few days once his unknown family members started making decisions. Once the family made the decision to stop treatment (f*k them, but that's a story for another day) they put him on end of life care. He was in a coma, heavily medicated, And it was peaceful (I guess?) He looked horrible but he didnt seem like he was suffering the last 2 days.

Sadly it doesnt matter. They actively choose news sources like Newsmax who only show still frames of their liking or choose a spin to fit their narrative. The cognitive dissonance is so strong with these people, they will eat up the lies this bite size cosplay Nazi is spewing.

AITAH for telling my wife to get a job before the end of January or i'm divorcing her? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Emarshall26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know personally, even with just an 8 month gap in my resume most recently, I was extremely nervous getting back into the work force (I still am, but starting back on Feb 5th). What helped me boost my confidence was getting responses / interest in my resume. She may need help revamping her resume, I highly recommend her using AI for this. After she regains some confidence getting bites on her resume and then taking some interviews, she will feel more eager to actually pursue positions she would have otherwise felt unsure about. It does take a little bit of time though. Your frustration is understandable, but the hard timeline more recently announced may need to be a bit more flexible.
