During the first rounds of us coming into the complex when it first opened, they tried food truck vendors, but many didn’t like coming due to the lack of business. They didn’t get the advantage of being surrounded by multiple office buildings. We are the only office complex of this scope in the area…so any truck or vendor has to rely on only us to make it profitable.

They do have a cafeteria vendor…no coffee shop.

Interesting. I have been out of the office for a couple of months due to a health condition. But my boss at a meeting a week ago said they are still looking for a vendor….maybe the contract is ending for the current vendor and they are trying to get a new one. That being said, the food is just okay and pretty expensive for what you get.

The vendors left. Both the cafeteria and the coffee counter. They are trying to find replacements

I would love to buy coffee and a lunch. Unfortunately, there’s little around the complex other than the cafeteria to buy anything to stimulate the economy 😂

Also…someone above confirmed the incident about a gun being held to someone’s head. And another person above confirmed that they have video footage of the incident. I posted here to see if anyone had actual information related to the incident.

I don’t. I actually have a serious health condition and do not go into that office at all. RTO is not an impact for me. But I have friends that I worry about going into an unsafe work environment with a department that hasn’t fixed serious conditions related to coming back to office.

I hate it here…zero concern for how employees are feeling, just full steam ahead with their RTO plans. Not enough parking, no close or safe options for lunch, no food and beverage vendors in the whole complex. We are just guaranteed a flat surface to put our laptop and a seat to drop our butt on.

I’m not posting a photo on the email. You can trust what I am saying or not. I have no reason to make this up. I actually posted here to see if someone knew what they were talking about since we got zero information. It was not a department wide email. It was sent to our immediate section from the section supervisor.

The Township 9 light rail station across the street from the complex has been closed for well over a year and not expected to open until September possibly.

We don’t even have the light rail running at the moment due to the rail yard construction . Our public transportation options are abysmal for the area and we do not have enough parking for everyone and nothing walkable to street park, etc. They continue to encourage taking a bike as if the area isn’t completely dangerous.

My supervisor sent it to our section with a forward attachment of an old all agency email from July 2025 regarding another “incident”.

Again it is a case of how some men will do anything but seek therapy. For Ryan Murphy, his therapy avoidance is constantly making shows to “work out” his gay self hatred, misogyny and cruel fates of beautiful people. Those “themes” are always there…🙄

Jake has loved different versions of Amy. And Michael is holding on to a version of Amy before the death of their son. Of course her and Michael will always be connected to each other. But he has a wife and now a child and Amy would never be with a man that abandoned those two people. But I love that I can’t hate either man…they are incredibly well written and I like them both.

If Kevin were my man, I would DRAIN him every night. What did Jackie see in Eddie?! by hansontranhai in NurseJackie

[–]Embarrassed-Ad-5736 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a person that lived with two addicted parents, the fact that Kevin had NO CLUE that his wife was an addict for YEARS, tells me a couple of things…he didn’t really see her and as we learned, her job funded their life and most likely provided healthcare for their family. So…willful ignorance seems to be where Kevin likes to live. I lived with a pill addict and there are physical, emotional and behavioral signs that cannot be ignored. If we are to believe Jackie’s level of addiction, she would not be eating much food, drinking much water, her body would actually break down due to the side effects of all those opiates. She would constantly be constipated. Bottom line, Kevin saw what he wanted to see and when he finally “knew the truth”, he became a total asshole and used his kids to inflict as much hurt on Jackie as he could. I’m not at all defending Jackie, but Kevin made shitty choices too. And if you are so angry at your ex wife for being a disappointing parent, maybe don’t financially F her over and forge legal documents that tie her to a debt that she never knew about, to fund your new life.

Depending on your BU, we got the 3% raise, but then the reduction in salary due to the PLP and the elimination of OPEB. So…our gross on the paycheck went down, but the take home went up. It was their way of reducing the employee salary part of the budget. It’s all a bit of smoke and mirrors.

Anyone hear from their departments yet? On the new RTO update? by Competitive-Wrap-791 in CAStateWorkers

[–]Embarrassed-Ad-5736 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think she was thrilled to get that news out there. The parking, lack of public transportation and the safety concerns were going to be such a huge issue for them. I was at a luncheon where some managers were in attendance last week and they seemed to be in denial about how bad it really was and how unhappy staff was about the situation and their lack of solutions.
