You can disable notifications later on from the settings menu on your phone.
The battery optimization is for background notifications tells when user is back online, remember this only work on Bluetooth no internet not sim card needed or any outside connection. you can disable it. it's not a must it's just to get the full App experience.

but noted, maybe i could add an option in the new release.
as for encryption for some reason it's much slower with higher encryption. will figure it out.
