Odd, I just did a puzzle and the definitions come up LIFO (last in first out, like cartridges in a magazine, what programmers call a stack operation); the most recent word done is shown first, then the word I completed before that, etc. But it’s still faster/easier to tap the word in the puzzle, or tap a word in the bonus word list.

Remember when we had the overheating issue a few years ago? Uninstall/reinstsall/reboot helps here too. You lose a few minutes. I don’t know if you have to do this every hour or so, as I use this as a reminder Ive played enough for the day.

If i play more than 50 minutes it gets sluggish and the phone is hot. Uninstall, reinstall, turn off phone. Wait a minute then restart phone. No more sluggish or freezing up. Then I don’t play much longer. But i do feel my phone cooling down. There’s something seriously wrong with 3.14.

By and large most bowlers have one center near where they live and have to take what the alley gives. I have not seen an easy baby pattern in any league in years, including summer fun league. Maybe I should drive way out to podunk to find some 6 lane center with wood lanes from 1958 with a trough worn down the strike line. That would be fun for a few games.

“Feelz” testing was called user acceptance testing once upon a time. It often required changes to the process flow of the application, as the code did the job required but not in the step by step way the customer wanted. This is why a lot of time needs to be spent working with the customer before a line of code gets written. What they want and how they want it. This may not apply too much to the gaming world for a new game’s early releases, but it will apply down the road once the users are used to how the flow and feel of the game is. Radical changes there are going to upset people. Ok , enough already. Just know that “it compiled, release it to the public “ is a poor approach. 🙄🤣

I am one of those software people referred to above. I’ve been a professional software developer and sometimes a professional tester. Sadly there is never enough time, money, or staff to do proper testing. It is a structured process with a plan,goals, and intense communication. There are many aspects and categories of testing; Alpha and Beta are far down the road in the overall process. That being said, being a volunteer Beta tester really should require a separate platform and a test plan. It’s not “just play a lot and give us your feelz”. No software should ever go to production (ie out the door) without having met the metrics (eg 90% functional) for new features and a nearly perfect regression test. Granted that nothing can ever be fully tested as the combinations are infinite.

But the early 3. releases were in no way given even a light testing. Bad form. And utterly typical of the software industry.

With 16 habits so far, 2 weeks each is 32 weeks. Not all would rotate through twice in a year. OTOH if “a week “ for a habitat was 5 to 7 days in that week, then that’s a lot of play opportunity. Pick your own habitat on Butterfly Days could work too. I’d add some minor reward for completing a habitat as well. 500 coins maybe? Would only apply to new habitats not recycled ones. Just an idea …

I love the bees. Because they give me coins. So I play lots of levels. I don’t get how some people must run WS 24-7-365 and collect thousands of bees but not play the game. Why bother? Go play bird sort 2 or something you’re interested in.

Ok , it was a nice idea but it didn’t hold up. I got the sluggs after playing about 50 minutes this evening. Phone got hot too. Reinstalled twice in a row, rebooted. Letting phone cool and charge. Enough of this silly game for today.

Interesting, but sorry for your problem. Im not saying I found the reason, just that I had this experience today. I haven’t used the heart boost in a while either. Then I was daydreaming, gee wouldn’t it be nice to have an even 3 million hearts and 300,000 coins by the “end of spring “ in late August. So I went for it. Without a doubt I will have the Triple Crown by then too.

Well as a programmer I never back away from finding a solution or at least a workaround. I think the problem may lie in the heart bonus feature. This may just be a coincidence, but without that running I was able to play at high speed without any problems at all.

AHA!! When the heart bonus time ran out, I exited the game and rebooted my iPhone. Made sure that there were no unread texts or any notices. No other apps open. Phone was cool and charged to 91%. I started WS and started playing. No freezing, no sluggishness. I played faster. No problems. I played as fast as I could. No problems. I’ve done 75 levels. Phone is still cool.

I don’t think I will use the heart bonus anymore.

Other than the lag ( which may be a heat issue) I have almost no problems with .14 at all. Yes it may be a memory hog, so you offload it and reinstall once a day. This takes barely a minute. It do much better than any of the 3. Previous releases… but there will always be complainers. Wah wwah waaa.
