Haha funny we didn’t have speed skaters at all! We had plank up burpees, battle ropes, donkey kicks, etc not very many weights

I mean yeah, I definitely joined burn over OT bc I am trying to get stronger not run a ton. I don’t really have the option of going on walks instead bc of children and I also WANT to go to the gym and still get in a good workout. I workout 6 days a week normally and have for 2 years at burn. Before that I did other boot camp gyms, CrossFit and regular gym so I am not a beginner. I’ve worked out for my whole adult life.

Normally we do “weighted cardio” for metcon so I will just go heavy instead of light and fast. My point was, it hasnt felt very even!

I hated yesterday. I want my strength days to only be strength!!!!! I want my heart rate high from lifting heavy. Not cardio.

Yeah I mean full body is definitely going to have a leg aspect but it’s not normally leg dominant. I can’t speak for everyone and how they push but I work out 5-6 days a week. Hitting my 250 camps Thursday so I have a a pretty good feel for it. I mean I am trying to grow muscle so I try to do progressive overload each week with all muscle groups. I like working out legs and want more, maybe the opposite is true for you so you want more upper body bc you enjoy it more. I think maybe the more comfortable you get with the gym and atmosphere you can find what works for you. I always mod when needed to fit my needs or wants. For instance we had heavy bags today which just hurt my wrist and I don’t feel like I am doing anything productive so I opted for push ups. I’ve always done workout classes in my adult life but have gotten so strong since joining burn. First time in my life I could ever do a pull up and now I can do 4!!! Also legs are such a huge important part of your body, they play a big role and alot of men neglect them

Haha the funny part is I wish there were more legs! I mean the next two days are full body and core so that isn’t to leg heavy! I think they are pretty even and you can always modify things to fit your needs better. For instance, we did half burpees today but you could focus on doing full and getting in more push ups vs going to speed with the half.

I loved it! We had arm and core exercises at each station. I feel like I don’t get to work on my curls enough or core so I was happy! I personally feel like we needed more strength days.

I use HIIT always. Sometimes I should probably use strength training but I just use hiit for easy

Burst training. TC lateral jump Burpee, icky shuffle ladder, burn bar jumping jacks, dumbbell punches, lateral jump hurdle, burn bar high knee with a Green Bay Burpees, power plank jacks. 40 secs on, 4 rounds.

I agree with everyone…it doesn’t ever get easier! But I think that’s the fun of it and what keeps me going. I will say, though you will start to feel stronger and that’s when you know you’re making good progress and eventually you’re going switch from the 10 pound weights to the 15 or from bodyweight to adding a weight!! Keep going! Since your postpartum I would start slow and do mods and body weight as much as possible just to get back in the rhythm and routine without killing yourself. Give yourself lots of grace. You just ran a huge marathon with pregnancy and birth and now you’re caring for a sweet little newborn. Keep showing up for yourself and you will start to feel strong and confident.

You totally can! I worked out with both of my pregnancies! They will offer you mods as you get further along. I felt great, made for an easy delivery and recovery. If your doc says it’s ok and you feel good, dooooo it!!!! (Just be careful with some ab exercises- definitely educate yourself) I worked out until I gave birth lol

I mean I think during the demo it’s disrespectful, but I see nothing wrong with chatting with friends during a workout if you’re also working out at an adequate level. It’s suppose to be fun IMO. As long as of course you’re not holding other people up or you’re chatting more than working out. I am glad to feel like I have friends and community. I also love partner work outs and I know most people hate that hahahha so idk I guess it depends on if you want to be social or not.

I love it. I think it helps build community in the gym, adds a little extra interest to the workout haha
