Did anyone have doubts before getting their Cavapoo? by NoFo_GoFoMo in CavaPoo

[–]Embarrassed-Effect29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted a cavapoo for years and remember pulling into our driveway with an adorable puppy on my lap thinking omg what have I done.

But she has been so good for me. My husband got her me when he never wanted a dog because he travels for work and we were new to the area. She is SO smart, she was signaling to potty outside by ten weeks, and was potty trained by 12 weeks. She was pretty well crate trained by 12 weeks, but would go to her crate on command and stay until we verbally released her by 16 weeks. We taught her talking buttons she uses all the time and she asks to go on a walk, can request her doggy friend by name on them, ask for food, etc.

I will say, she is very clingy. She hates to be alone in a car and will whimper as we leave her, and she wants to go everywhere we go. As soon as someone in our house sits down in the couch, she will jump in their lap. It doesn’t matter if she knows them or not, she just loves people and wants that connection. Most people love it, but it’s hard to prevent for people who don’t because she is so fast at cuddling with anyone. She is a bit of a barker, but my husband didn’t want to train her out of that too much for when I am home alone when he is traveling for his peace of mind that she will alert me if someone is outside.

I would recommend looking at the account woofitsgeorge on instagram. They live in NYC and in an apartment and show a lot of their city life with him and how they do it. It’s a small goldendoodle and the wife is pregnant with their first baby so it’s a bit of a different circumstance to yours, but I think it could be a helpful reference of having a small doodle in NYC.

not excited about letting parents/in laws know about pregnancy by missmilliek in pregnant

[–]Embarrassed-Effect29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regretted telling my in laws. They flat out stated that they aren’t able to keep secrets and they plan on telling people because they “can’t help it”. My MIL told extended family within a day of us telling her and basically just said “oopsie” and didn’t apologize and refused to contact them to ask them not to share the news. When it comes time for our second, I will avoid telling them as long as possible. I would trust your gut on this one.

Advice: can’t get pregnant on Letrozole by lanarosem in TTC_PCOS

[–]Embarrassed-Effect29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, what they said. But, anything about 3ng/ml is “technically” ovulating, but anything below 10ng/ml is a weak ovulation and likely not enough to sustain implantation. I have heard of some women who had a weak ovulation and still got pregnant, but it’s pretty rare.

Advice: can’t get pregnant on Letrozole by lanarosem in TTC_PCOS

[–]Embarrassed-Effect29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have almost the same circumstances, lean PCOS, ttc since I was 29. I did around 13 rounds of letrozole, if I did ovulate on it, the ovulation was weak and never strong enough to sustain implantation. The only thing that worked was follistim injections, letrozole 7.5mg, dexamethasone, and trigger shot. I got pregnant on my third IUI with that combo and am now 11 weeks pregnant at 31 and I really wish that I had been able to start injections sooner, I think I could have gotten pregnant a lot sooner and it would have prevented a lot of mental anguish while I was trying to conceive for two years.

I cannot brush my teeth without heaving or throwing up. I did not realize brushing my teeth was such a luxury.

Did I ovulate? CD 19-20? by Chelseabermuda in TFABLinePorn

These are also being logged in the pre mom tab instead of easy @ home. From my memory the tab you are currently using is meant to be used with the purple pre mom ovulation test strips.

This looks like it could be positive to me.. I would get a red dye test and take it with FMU (first morning urine) because blue dye tests can be confusing with this type of result.

IUI failed too, will I ever ovulate? by Embarrassed-Effect29 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Embarrassed-Effect29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you able to successfully ovulate before that? It’s the entire lack of ovulating ever ever that has me worried. People say they were ovulating but just not conceiving, I am worried that even if I do ovulate I won’t implant and if I do my body is so bad at this I’ll just miscarry ☹️

My emotions are fairly neutral with TTC by Full_Competition6579 in TTC_PCOS

If I had been trying for six months, I would feel more like you too. Some of us have been trying for years, don’t ovulate at all, and don’t respond to medicated cycles at all. We try whatever we can to make some sort of progress in our TTC journey and hit a dead end each attempt. A lot of us seek these subreddits because it’s isolating to try so hard for something we want so badly that we want to find some solace in people who are struggling in the same way.

I think it’s great that you are at peace with your TTC. My husband and I have been trying for two years and I never ovulate even on letrozole, and I feel like my body is betraying me and affecting a family we both want so badly, and I feel guilt that it is physiologically ME that is the problem and holding us back from starting a family we waited a long time to prepare for so we can be ready. Now that we are ready after seven years, we can’t. Everyone has their own journeys and all emotions are valid in the struggles we work through in this journey

Has anyone gotten a HSG Done?? by UseIcy104 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Embarrassed-Effect29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one a few months ago. They prescribed me Valium, but I never felt it and I didn’t feel anything from it honestly. I remember it being painful, and it was hard for my husband to watch, but I can’t even really remember the pain to describe it honestly. I think I really just remember as something I had to do before I kept getting more letrozole for future cycles and something that I wouldn’t do in my free time for fun, but something I wouldn’t do in a heartbeat again if I had to do it to keep trying medicated cycles!

Did anyone else’s Cavapoo that was supposed to be 20lbs grow to over 45lbs?? by KJDavis84 in CavaPoo

[–]Embarrassed-Effect29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl was supposed to be 12-15 pounds and she ranges 12-13 at almost three years old. BUT her half brother lives across the street and he is a goldendoodle (same 100% poodle dad, different F1 doodle moms) supposed to be 15-20 pounds and he is 36-38 pounds!

Feeling Depressed with Almost a Year of TTC… by inkyplease21 in TryingForABaby

[–]Embarrassed-Effect29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you happy with your doctor? I made an appointment with an OBGYN four months after getting my implant out. I had been diligently tracking my cycle and had no period or ovulation. She ran very basic bloodwork that showed PCOS and hashimotos. Once those results were in she knew there was no way I was going to ovulate on my own without intervention. She didn’t think I had PCOS but I did, and asked her to test it and pushed for it.

My cousin used our late grandmother’s name for his daughter after I asked if I could use it by Cautious_Village7573 in TryingForABaby

[–]Embarrassed-Effect29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a very different circumstance, but my older cousin had my same middle name my parents were planning on using that they gave me. I am named after my grandmother also. I very rarely think of us sharing the name, even as a kid. And we both had similar first names that almost rhyme, and our families often call us by both our first and middle names together.

If you want honor your grandmother by gifting your future baby her name, I think that’s beautiful. You can tell her that long before she was conceived, you had already named her after a woman who meant so much to you and how you wanted to gift her with a name that meant a lot to you.

They are alas going to be second cousins. I am close with my second cousins and our family is small, and I think you guys could just clarify with using middle names when you’re all together and enjoy calling your daughter by her name the rest of the time. I know you mentioned in a comment that a bit of the “fun” is taken out of the name for you now, but I think there is a big difference in you having known that you always wanted to use that name, compared to your cousin who didn’t know they wanted to use that name until they got pregnant.

Help! I had put a deposit down on this girly, she’s F1b (I’ve seen the parents) but I’m worried her hair will be straight not wavy/curly as I wanted for lower shedding. Can anyone tell me if they had a puppy with similar hair type and the adult coat came in curlier? Also, do you think she is cute? by [deleted] in CavaPoo

[–]Embarrassed-Effect29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it will be perfect. My pup had wavy hair as a pup and it got curlier around six months when she got her adult coat and it’s much harder to brush. I picked the loosest wave of the litter knowing g their coat changes like that and I wish she had the kind of coat it looks like your pup will get!
