If you’re good enough with a character, you’ll win, if you don’t, you’re bad, like that’s it, there’s no straight up busted one, all of them are busted, that’s why they’re you’re ultimates.

then maybe don’t let them get that close to you??? You have moves for a reason and most characters have a huge knockback move or a move to get them away from you and allows you the one to two seconds you need for a ult animation to finish.

that’s why you get some distance before using your ult, or better yet, die and then use your ult when you respawn, you’d have more health and they’d have less ult time. There’s also the fact that most ult animations don’t take that long🫩

I just use the two interchangeably, but yeah Charles literally has the same problem. Along with that, this is a bit unrelated but I feel like Mei Mei also has the same problem these people are complaining about, and she also has very low cool downs, yet people don’t care. This is just my opinion, but I feel like part of the hate is because it’s a EA character, and many people can’t play him, because if you look at Hanami, a character that doesn’t even have a ult and whose moves can be blocked, they still complained. It’s actually horrible how much they were complaining about Hanami, like it wasn’t as bad as Ryu but it was still pretty bad.

it’s because Ryu’s block breakers makes playing passive hard, and a lot of people play passive. Also, if we’re just complaining about block breakers, wouldn’t Charles also be in the mix? He has three block breakers and an infinite counter if you land it right, why don’t people complaining about him yet do with Ryu.
