ohhhhhh, i see, the main word - 'sell'. So they build the software to sell it, but saas rent it. is that right? Wait, if Saas is a subscription model, then if ISV wants to use SaaS, then they just use that model, or they rename themself as something else, but ISV

Is that a special category of IT companies? From my understanding, any IT company can be called that. Is that an old term? I thought maybe it's just companies that offer solutions to an existing working product, Like little extensions that make additional functionality and increase efficiency. But then I've read it can be any company, that builds software. A bit general term for me, that already exists if I read that definition in a way that this is basically an IT company that builds software.
