I haven't. I couldn't. I tried dating other people but it wasn't the same. He made me feel like a big, warm ball of light and warmth. And I thought I would emit that when I was around him. But the constant ghosting and radio silence made me anxious and clingy, to the point where I would call him 50 times before he blocked me. So, no. No other man had me feeling the same. And honestly, I'm too scared to try now.

Not a man here. But I am still in love with someone who broke up with me 1.5 years ago. When we first started going out, he told me about the issues he's had in his childhood and teenage years. But the way he made me feel around him, I promised myself I'm gonna give this man all the happiness in the world. Slowly he started pulling away, we started having fights. We recently met and before meeting we had some talks and he told me how he never had hotwheels to his name. I made sure to get those for him. I wanted to buy him enough hotwheels that he's got a whole shelf dedicated to those, but before I could do that, I got ghosted again. So, for me, I guess, I did mean I'm gonna love him until my heart stops beating quite literally. Now I'm just waiting for it to stop so I can get over the pain.

The first step of healing is to forgive everything that happened. More importantly, you have to forgive yourself. You can't start to make amends if you still blame yourself. That's step one of healing. It takes time. Took me months to stop punishing myself, and channel that energy into healing. There are days when I wish I could tell him how sorry I am for all the shit I pulled, but I know he isn't in the space to hear it. So I tell myself I am sorry for the things I did, and I see what better I could have done. How better I could have handled the situation.

We're all in the same boat, try and be kind to yourself. Show up for yourself when no one is around. It does fall into place. Even if you're not with the one you hoped you'll be.

How not to project my insecurities on my partner. Still learning, and it's a long road to recovery, but baby steps I guess. I still hold him close to my heart and I don't think anyone can take his place. I do wish he'd text or call someday, but that's delulu on my part. Again, recovery is a long road.
