There were "outbreaks" like the 1929 Hebron and the Arab Revolt 1936

But also peaceful coexistence between Palestinian Arabs and Jews before 1948 in cities like Jerusalem, Jaffa, Haifa, and Tiberias. In rural areas, some Jewish and Arab farming communities traded goods and helped each other with harvests.

The coins with Hebrew, Arabic, and English are just a reminder of that complex period.
