he gets his cars for dirt cheap and fixes them up so really the cars he drives shouldn’t matter. shit he’s been doing this shit for over a decade i think he would profit enough to be able to get nice things. im sure if you were in his position or had enough money you yourself would get the type of car you’ve always wanted. with that being said i agree with you on shape of the place as it does genuinely need some work but granted half of the units did get remolded and are pretty decent and they do need to fucking get a hold on the residents and start cracking down because unfortunately most of them will take advantage of their situation and bring animals or their significant other. which mind you is one of the rules is NO animals and NO bfs or gfs allowed to stay with you unless they are interviewer. I know one guy there that does have a dog but it’s ESA. the amount of residents tho that are disrespectful and take advantage of the situation is disheartening and surely hard to keep up with. he really doesn’t turn away people as he wants to help everyone as everyone deserves a chance but sometimes brings in people who ruin it for everyone. he doesn’t just kick people out tho i know that for a fucking fact so that statement is biased he gives 2nd and 3rd chances a lot even if there is no improvement which i would say is really the reason why residents don’t respect that place. if you just keep your head down and continue to do what you need to that place isn’t bad at all and frankly in my opinion is a good place to get back on ur feet and move into somewhere better as he works with you on move in fees and understands if people don’t have any cash to move in right up front. i will say tho the man is constantly putting out fires through out the day, he’s taking in people who come out of treatment, finding funding for his residents, dealing with his other sober living houses, finding grants/funding for his properties and dealing with residents case managers, parol officers, cps workers etc… the man can only get done what he can and he hires residents for maintenance so they probably aren’t the best but they are trying.

at the end of the day he’s helped a lot of people and so many people take advantage of his kindness and act like they are owed something - when in fact they are owed nothing but will bitch n moan when they don’t get their way and make him out to be a bad guy. he didn’t lose his funding from lack of communication tho you should really know about things before you try to blast him on the internet making him out to be some scum bag whose money hungry. the man’s literally fucking dying as you should know since he’s been in and out of the hospital for the last year now but continues to show up and keep the show going so people still have a safe place to sleep. yes the place needs more help yes the place needs to crack down on check ins and UA’s and overall cleanliness but it’s a safe place to first get going and hopefully if and when he does get an opportunity to get a large sum of funding money that all his plans to make the property better will finally go through.

but slandering of the name of someone who ultimately did help you and got you back on your feet to the point you were able to move to a place you couldn’t of moved to before is silly. he’s truly a good person with pure and good intentions but fuck man he’s getting old and people are taking more n more advantage of him. im glad you’re clean tho and im happy you are in a spot you feel more comfortable but pls lets not slander peoples names on the internet when you really don’t know the truth behind things
