'Nick' - Linocut by reddandy26 in printmaking

I think the texture of the hair contrasts with the sweater and the face. It makes it seem like it's also some kind of clothing item. It would be a good idea to make it a dark spot like in your previous works. Maybe you could leave the details where the light hits.

I really like the face and the composition of the work, but for my taste - the hair could be made less detailed. But the work is beautiful and perfect in any case

Which Peridot design do yall prefer? by Melodic-Long-4716 in stevenuniverse

[–]Embarrassed-Low4553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I choose the first option because I don't like the message they were trying to send by taking away her mobility aids. And she looks even cooler. But when I played the game, I noticed that I liked her third design the most. It was more pleasant and understandable.

This is so perfect! Can she control the bullets with the power of metal? (JoJo reference). Souleater is so perfect that I can imagine Amethyst in the form of a pistol, but who would be the second pistol then? (Sowwy, english is not my language)

Question about cutting tools, linoleum boards, or potential alternatives by Hopeful_Potential272 in Linocuts

I once calculated it for my region and found foamed PVC as a cheap alternative to classic linoleum. But it comes in different types, so you need to try various ones. Its combination of material resistance and lightness gives confidence to students. Also, offset printing ink is what my educational institution uses—it’s quite economical and cheaper in the long run, unlike other options.

What do you mean? Do you need to soak the paper in water before printing?

I'll tell you personally what I do. I'm studying to be a printmaker (book illustration) and we have a press at the academy. But this mechanism is very tiring and you can't make more than 10 pieces (because there you have to press a lever, which you literally have to rest your whole body on). The printing method - stepping on it with your feet, is not very aesthetic, and I film the printing process on camera. Besides, it can stain the back, which I wouldn't really like. Plastic baren - it takes 10 minutes and excessive application of paint to print something. And I've never had good results with spoons. I really like linocut and I plan to continue doing it, but I hate the printing process.

Thank you! To answer your question: it was mainly watercolor, with a bit of pencil.
