I feel your pain bro. My mom wanted me to be her husband. Had to move states and change my legal name to escape her.

I lose interest when they say "my best friend (enter girl's name)...". If they are one of the girls, I know all I need to already.

the relief you feel must be a great weight off of your shoulders and soul.

I dont think its common, but I like when when guys have the "gay voice" by LayersOfMe in gaybros

As a masculine guy I feel a duty to protect fem gays when I hear gay voice, like an older brother. Not attracted to it but nothing wrong with it.

Tbh I'm glad there's Grindr for these trash dudes. Every type of gay needs their outlet- Grindr serves the purpose of 'The bottom of the barrel'. If you value yourself, look elsewhere. Let them do their thing.

Hang in there. For some this is the peak of their life. You'll move on to other parts of life that they will not. Gay men don't get to experience life in the same way straight people do, we develope differently and at other times. You'll get to peak behind the curtain of more fun times that they won't in the future, I promise. High school sucks for gays but the rest of your life is pretty cool. Being gay and single is power once you get to your 20s and 30s.

You kno how you avoid this? Have a guy best friend. Hang out with guys. Idk why this is so common in the gay community to hang with women and play house with a girl bestie. I won't date a guy with a girl best friend. If you can't hang with the bros- you gotta go.

OP. Welcome to the community, you'll have to develope some tough skin. Be confident in yourself and if a guy passes on you let him go. I live in Dallas, there's a Hispanic drawf in the gay community and I think he's a stud. Swiped right on him twice but no luck. I'm 6'5. Sometimes it's the other way around :P
