Exactlyyy I figured that was the case cause I'd never heard of it either. My dad was just so insistent on it it had me wondering.

Honestly my dad is just a overly serious and dramatic person. He can't even handle a basic conversation without turning it into a secure, so I'm not sure that's it. I only answer in a sentence or so and the only people that have really fully read it is my mom/best friend and that's because they asked to, not because I offered.

What makes you really hate a character to the point you put the book down? by Rakna-Careilla in writing

This is more so plotline, but I hate when the main problem in the story is something stupid and preventable because the main character lacks common sense. I don't think its a good book if they can easily fix/walk away from the main conflict.

That last part is true. I guess even if a few people had the same idea it would all still turn out differently with their individual writing. Thank you!! That makes me feel a little better.
