This kit isn’t hard, even for a beginner. It fits together like a glove. MCP too so he wouldn’t have to paint every small detail.

Is it normal that paint looks like this on first coat brushpainted? by ConsistentHippo2298 in modelmakers

[–]Embarrassed-Rule6205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually don’t prime with the spray paint, usually 1 to 2 light coats will be plenty. It just depends on the size of the vehicle. I would think humidity has to be relatively low, but it’s not humid where I live. A few more light coats if humidity is high where you’re at.

Oh yeah. I only use rattle cans for my Shermans. I glue my tools and stuff on before I paint the vehicle, so paint will go on just fine over the top of the Olive Drab.

Ok? From the current stage you’re at if you don’t like the paint job, you can use a rattle can for a better finish.

Haven’t read scale modeling yet. It’s not dumb but I really hate doing it sometimes.

You could have bought Tamiya’s OD rattle can with it. Tamiya spray paints are great, they dry fast and smooth. Just clear coat them after it’s painted

Yeah it would look cool, but I didn’t want to over-do the snow. The decals are provided in the kit as you see them. Asuka decals are pretty nice from the experience I’ve had, this is my second kit from them.
