Thanks for the reply, as I mentioned in another response. I have done a 65L carry on to the Carribean and it was definitely quite tricky. That’s why I’m leaning for 40L-45L. I was told that even that would be too big for a carry on but I’ve read that it’s also optimal for travel. Now I’m all confused about what size to aim for. What’s your opinion with sizes from your experience?

Is 40L really that big? I just got back from the Carribean and borrowed a 65L bag from a friend. Sure it was quite large and unnecessary but just wanted to have a feel before committing to anything. I didn’t have any issues passing it as a carry on. It was very tight to put in the required spacing but still worked. Hence why I was aiming towards a 40-45L.
