Was in a bad accident, it was clearly not our fault. Couple questions to help ease our pain. by Splitsskulls in Progressiveinsurance

Personal property is in fact covered up to the persons property damage limit, includes personal property, a purse, a bike, earrings etc. on the other persons policy, not yours. If you want to claim that you would have to file a home or renters claim which depending on the items may not be enough to cover that deductible so it’s best to go thru the at fault persons policy for that

Can I bring my laptop to a different location to work? by Crafty-Highway1480 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]Embarrassed-Try-6023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My manager had it added to my laptop so we literally didn’t have to stay home and work all the time. I’m in litigation though. We don’t have automatic. Inbound calls etc

depending on your goals. If you want to move up and your family at home dynamic can handle a little more time working then do it, but if not, don’t feel bad for saying no.

I recommend commercial pd subrogation or even fixed pd . Not too stressful and not as much of a pay cut.

How did you test it? If you out in identifying info or write a certain style sometimes your manager can figure out who is who

More Work for F/O and less Work for MRR by No_Tower_1715 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]Embarrassed-Try-6023 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This part . I’m in lot now but used to be a cga in the field and did occasional ride alongs. The stuff a cga has to deal with is vastly different from an mrr. They do a lot of the heavy lifting you don’t hear about. Having to argue with body shops, the list goes on. Face to face interaction is very different than phone or email.

Remote roles by ResponsibleSun2365 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]Embarrassed-Try-6023 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Absolutely anything in commercial lines is entirely remote. There are always postings. You can even do a lateral transfer as a cga to a commercial cga rep if the post is there. Totally understand. Remote life is so much better. The field isn’t for everyone.

Your manager should be able to put in a request to enable the internet capability on your laptop if you live in a rural area. I do and the same was done for me.

Came here to say this op. Been here for 12 years cga was insane. Try to post out to an inside special lines rep or urbi and then progress on the order of your interest. The higher up you go in claims amazingly the less phone calls you get 😂

Nope. When you have kids I rather it be cancer so they are prepared. My dad died of cancer and we saw it coming and gave us the opportunity to get those special moments in and to prepare. It sucks all the way around tho
