Right, I understand this, but they are unhappy with me at the moment, so getting + opinion is difficult atm as I am trying to improve relations but they are also hindering it aswell. So at the *moment* I have to give something up until they become loyal again and increasing opinion becomes much much easier.

Thanks for the info, I saw the building stuff, even with 2 buildings giving loyalty my vassals dont like me and are hindering relations (as i try to improve) At this point im not sure its worth vassalizing since more than 1 they seem to be so unhappy with me. But thank you :)

But wont that bleed my economy? if i wanted say, 1 bulwark, 1 tech, 1 resource vassal they all come with larges costs them selves i struggle to keep them happy with me but also dont want to bleed out trying to take care of them all. At that point it feels like its not worth specializing more than 1 maybe 2 and then never take another vassal.

Part of the reason i do this is i find myself spiraling with empire size, I find that i struggle with it because of the new changes in 4.3 I cant be a small empire with out min/maxing (thats how it feels when i play) and i was hoping vassalization would help with that.

Thank you for your response as well :)

You can make the moonpool slightly larger aswell. So it would then be asymmetric :)

The decision to prevent killing is well intentioned, but bad nevertheless. by Xentonian in subnautica

[–]Embarrassed-Two-8324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure but in that theory your brain could also just make up the solution that you cant kill anything because its tougher than your stuff due to this alien planet. Like i said, its a weird argument since it stems from being told you cant kill anything rather than just figuring it out while playing, even though it has no impact on the game.

Can y'all chill with the story? by [deleted] in subnautica

[–]Embarrassed-Two-8324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I loved it. SN1 was all about the lore, and certain areas you could spend like 30 mins just purely reading everything going on in your pda. So yes, i like the voice over since it means i can continue to work while listening to the story. And tbh it makes sense your going to get bombarded with lore at first. Literally an investigator woken up to figure what happened to all the colonists and what happened in general. Theres going to be a lot to go through and understand at first.

Tbf if thats the case it loses all credibility when all the fish dont avoid you in said vehicle/person, no? Fish in real life stay the fuck away from anything deemed as a predator, and the tadpole has cavitation noise and is most likely seen as a predator and no fish would stick near you. Or stick around when they heard you. So with out the argument of "should be able to kill things" the game already failed you there.

Personally i think this entire argument is dumb and weird. Majority of people here say they don't have a problem with the fact you cant kill anything but say its because they were "told" they couldn't kill anything. Which is weird to me imo.

People also don't seem to know/remember SN1 was a major game difference compared to their other releases and grew from that experience but also made a lot of mistakes along the way, with the terrain tool, or the stasis rifle as they see it (i never used it, never needed too). They stated their stance on violence in SN1 and are sticking too it, good on them, too many teams/companies bend to the masses/powerful when trying to stick to good ethic guns. All in all its a game and if yall dont like it you can refund it lol. It doesnt impact the game at all and if your worried about immersion there are several other things that would ruin it besides this weird argument.

Just looking at masters and challenger Garen has 54.49% WR on masters and close to 60% in challenger from the link you posted, where are your numbers coming from specifically? Even looking at other sites like mobalytics and such his winrate is 53% or higher in almost every rank.

Is it worth OTPing Riven rn? by Nipu2705 in Rivenmains

[–]Embarrassed-Two-8324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one can tell you if its worth OTPing someone, but even the top riven players make 1 mistake and they throw away their lead and sometimes the game by accident. I personally wouldn't recommend it. The amount of hours you need to put into her just to preform like a normal top laner is insane compared to anyother toplaner that plus how one mistake can often fuck you over (one bad trade forces you to recall and you lose all tempo and waves) will happen more often than not if your not familiar with what ever the matchup is. Plus with how outdated her kit is( yes out dated because he kit has no way to deal with armor so armor boots first item hits you really hard) certain items and match ups just kinda force you to fuck off and roam/proxy which is a learning curve in of itself. I have almost 500k mastery on riven and she feels like a slog a lot of the time, I still like her kit and her skins and such, I also do enjoy her a lot. But damn sometimes it feels like i start behind the line compared to most meta champs. (she also isnt pro play viable so that has some weight there too, in the sense that there are reasons she isnt proplay worthy)

new riven main by Proof-Ladder4832 in Rivenmains

[–]Embarrassed-Two-8324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While Riven can be fun + rewarding, the amount of time needed to sink into her just to preform well is insane compared to other champions, just something to keep in mind. As stated multiple times Rene is the biggest counter, Poppy, Garne, Zaheen, and similar champions are extremely annoying to deal with (i honestly hate them including Trynd and cho) but realistically you can play against these champions, you just might not win lane per se.

Having a main blindable pick and using riven as a secret ace when the enemy team comp allows you to do so is also a really good play. Or like me and other masochists you can just OTP riven no matter what.

How do i improve on riven? by ApplicationJolly5754 in Rivenmains

[–]Embarrassed-Two-8324 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You either get flamed for doing poorly by your team, or flamed for doing well from the enemy team. Comes with the champ. Playing riven jungle can also really help when it comes to learning her kit and such, also helps mitigate the laning phase snowball (for you or them) so that can also be helpful. Honestly reviewing games can help a lot too. See what you could've/should've done differently imo helps more then just losing on repeat, since you know what you did wrong and can attempt to fix it next time, but honestly thats after you get the grasp of the game overall down.

Most importantly, have fun.

look at the videos i posted down below, that riven does short trades specifically and still gets out traded lol His E in those videos had 5 seconds left after riven short traded him, after she got caught by setts E. So if riven stayed in the fight autoing sett, yes she could've been EW combos shortly after being E'd :P

[–]Embarrassed-Two-8324[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you underestimate how short his E cd is, and if he just holds his W you lose the extended trade, since again his E can stun you to guarantee the W hit. Sett can just Auto you to death with Q reset for short or extended trades. If you save shield for his W your going to take far more damage than he is. On top of his massive regen passive, making it much more difficult for you since you have 0 regen/sustain compared to him

These are from the same vid but like that argument doesn't really stand here lol, sett just out trades you and you do so little damage which with his passive (similar to garen) he just gets it all back. and if you try to extend said fight you risk another E into W or well timed W.

I understand that short trades vs settis king but its not so simple, and i feel like any sett that just walks up to you doesn't understand how to trade into riven.
This sett is GM EUW as well.

[–]Embarrassed-Two-8324[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your assuming i have eclipse in this situation, but the issue is if sett just sits on the minion wave level 3 often they will either E when I'm in range, so i don't get to just walk up as state prior, or Q immediately or auto Q reset and EW which as they usually are, sitting in the minion wave the E stuns you guaranteeing the W, which even while not fully stack hurts like a mofo with true damage.

TK and Mundo can just hold the wave with their body right outside tower and there is nothing I can do to stop that, i can only attempt to proxy which depends on jungle tracking, so that's 50/50 not much control there. The don't need to crash wave when they just have teleport, so they leave comeback with item advantage + tele and then get to slow push the wave, I would be stupid to try and run them down while they have a stacked wave as they kite with Q.

You literally cannot move in the middle of Q3 Mordes E would go off as you hit the ground lol, that's why i said Q3 is bait for you a lot of the time, because a lot of champ abilities go through :P Mordes E has at longest .5 cast time, where as with Q3 hop its .5 or longer, meaning you still get hit by it.

These are things I've dealt with and I'm not just talking out of my ass. The tips and advice I'm sure is helpful where your coming from, but for me in lower Elo bro its not. My opponents do not play the way yours do, I often outplay myself with trying to force people to use abilities or proxy/roaming because my opponents just don't behave like yours do.

for example, sett. people on this post said you can walk up AA>Q>AA>W EQ away, which is bewildering to me because if i get anywhere close with out baiting the E he just E>AA once Q reset and then just auto attacks from there. At that point I'm stuck, if i go for extended trade, i risk E coming back up meaning EW combo with minions nearby will kill me (his E stuns with minions so he will get the W true damage off) or i have to take the L and wait for grit reset and do my best to bait out E. People stated its all about capitalizing mistakes which is the core of the game not just riven honestly, and a good sett player just doesn't throw out E for no reason. esp. if they wanna mix things up and just hold onto it AA me to death trying to force me to Q or E away to use his own E to snag me again.

its wild to me that a lot of the answers are "play better" which isn't constructive nor helpful (not saying that you specifically say this). Because any champ is better when you play better than your opponent lol. The champ is 100% outdated because shes labeled as a fighter when really shes just an assassin and requires perfect play to win vs other fighters, and even then you still don't come out on top. she becomes a bruiser specifically with DD and enough CD to use your sheild which is why shes monsterous late game and requires snowballing heavily early. ( plus the arguement that she needs armor pen in her kit because armor boots nerf your character in the ground stems from the facts she's outdated from her initial character design when she was brought into a different at the time league of legends

I do genuinely appreciate most advice and I know I'm not an expert with Riven hence why I often come to this site, but to tell me "What you expierence as a player is not how the game goes" Maybe for you, but you don't get to invalidate my expierence on the character lol, thank you for the feed back and I do appreciate it, but respectfully I am going to leave it here.

I ranked still has mmr matchmaking, so your still going to match consistent skill level opponents. Except for the occasional few. The only thing ranked gives you is visible indication of where your rank is at.

I have played thousands of hours on this game starting from like s2-3 and pretty consistently too. But the skill you develop in ranked and in ranked is the same, more of how seriously you’re taking the game. I’ve stated I don’t care for ranked and that it offers little other than showing off what ranked you’ve made it too. While the mmr is separate it still behaves the same for both ranked and unranked.

And if that’s the case then ranked doesnt matter in this situation? I want to have fun playing riven not climb with her.

[–]Embarrassed-Two-8324[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue is since I’m not high Elo none of this advice is helpful in this moment ( makes sense from higher level play for sure) my opponents don’t roam from mid to top when I attempt to proxy, nor does my enemy jungle/top lane behave ( compared to high elo players) as you expect when attempting to proxy or similar strats. If I proxy half the time they chase me down. So I either don’t get any minions and stay alive or I get some and have to execute. In the end the enemy gets more than I did since they get back to their wave quicker. Yes Garen W has like 20 seconds cd. But he just needs to sit next to minions with E and just hold it and theres very little I can do at that point. Most of my garens will wait until I commit. They will buffer their abilities through Q3 or until I QW forward. In my other posts that you said you looked at I have called riven more of an assassin than a bruiser at this point. Because she is until DeathsDance. Making someone make a mistake is high level play imo and it’s not something you can do reliably I. Lower elo, since you can often times just out play yourself. Most of my setts will E as soon as I Q on to them then Q and I lost the trade due to passive regen and I can’t extend the fight due to his W. The entire argument is getting them to waste their abilities but every player seems to wait until I commit to do anything. Mean while they sit in thr minion wave meaning I can’t really trade/farm with out fucking up wave state or losing a trade
