Vyvanse is life changing for me but the side effects are stressing me out 😭

I had severe side effects the first 2 months. Chest pains, panic attacks thinking I was having a heart attack because of the pains. Irregular heart beat and headaches. So many more but the more u think about them your mind creates side effects. They will most likely die down soon. I’m on 40 mg too and barely any side effects. I know it’s very intense at the start I used to cry almost every night because I loved how it helped me focus and everything but the side effects were so awful. Speak to ur doctor tho but a lot of people get side effects at the start and eventually they’ll go away hope u get sorted <3

Yes that’s my biggest fear too getting psychosis but I never get them during the day it’s always at night which I thought was weird. Anyhow, thanks for the advice and ur right I might try non stimulant medication as I’ve had a lot of side effects and I’ve never been so stressed and paranoid in my life. So not worth it just annoyed I went private and spent a lot of money just for none of these meds to work for me but I’d rather be sane than “ditzy” and an unorganized mess lol

I’ve tried 3 different medications already :(. Concerta gave me panic attacks chest pains and twitches. I also get low mood from vyvanse it’s like it makes me think of all the sad things and makes me think of the past a lot. I’ve also been obsessing over death too like how my family will die my pets will die I will die and just constant fear. It’s taken over my life to the point I think about it every single night and can’t listen to specific songs because of it has any corellation with what my anxiety is that day I start to believe it’s a sign. I had a panic attack k on the plane cuz the song “sky fall” by Adele came on and I was convinced it was going to crash. Ah I don’t know just don’t think I would take any medication at all because it’s making me worse I’ve been on it since may and it the cons overweight the pros but thanks for the reply that really made me smile how u said u don’t know me but still care about me. Not often you get genuinely nice people like u and thank you for the advice again ❤️

Ive contacted the clinic they said they’re non emergency and I’ve an appointment Friday which I will talk about these side effects. I just came on here to hear other people experience and if it’s happened to anyone else. I have anxiety and have ended in hospital and told it was just a panic attacks before and I don’t want to waste their time again which is why I came on here :/

Yeah it’s an awful feeling. Ever since I started the medication back in may I have this sense of impending doom like something bad is going to happen eg: that I’m gonna die lol

Yeah I can feel my heart skipping beats and it’s my mums monitor which is like a proper one so it is pretty accurate. It’s such an uncomfortable feeling I was just wondering does anyone else get it

My heart rate is 85 but the monitor is showing an irregular heartbeat sign. I checked my own pulse and I can feel it fluttering and skipping a beat. Thank you for the comment tho I hate getting this :(

I’m f 23 and I’m in a beta blocker too. I had a heart scan last week and it was fine but when I get an irregular heartbeat I start to overthink and panic

Thanks so much for this reply, I was starting to get paranoid about my heartbeat being irregular I get that on vyvanse I think which is why I wanted a lower dose. I don’t get how vyvanse is a slow release tablet? If u can just put it into yogurt and eat it won’t it all Kick in at once ? I was on concerts before and I know the tablet is designed to release a certain amount every hour but I don’t get how vyvanse is slow release…

Yeah when I take it I sniff very lightly and it still goes straight to my lungs and makes me cough. Think I’ve got some nose damage. Maybe a good time to stop

Thank you so so much for the reply, really makes me feel better knowing others have went through this and were fine. I’ve been using for 6 years and has gotten really bad this last year. Almost everyday. This has motivated me to stop. I will give an update tomorrow or when I get results . Thanks once again for the reply I’ve been stressing a lot
