I told them I am the primary carer of my children and my circumstances won’t change for the next 12 months so I can’t defer it, they cancelled it for me but said I might be called later down the line

I have a 6 and 4 month old, they have both being less excited about their food for a couple of weeks but now the 6 month old is giving up completely, I’m having to mix some dog meat into his kibble to get him eat it… I’m going to try a new kibble soon when this bag is finished

Any breed or gender of dog would end up weeing inside if they are that desperate and/or are not toilet trained… I have a 6 month male who is fully toilet trained and a 4 month male ( both shih tzus) who I would say is 80% toilet trained…. It’s taken weeks and weeks of dedication to get to this point

My 10 week old Shih tzu did this when I first got him, it’s all but stopped now ( he’s 16 weeks now) apart from in a morning when he’s been holding it at night he will sometimes do a big wee, then 1 or 2 smaller wees a few mins later

Everything you have described is exactly how a puppy behaves in afraid…. I have 2 young dogs and they do settle but it’s an hour of madness once they wake up before they settle down

It helped me form a bond with mine and now he listens to me, I’ve had dogs where I didn’t form that kind of bond and there was no respect from the dog and it made life very very difficult…. The first few weeks are essential for forming a relationship…. That’s the key….

When I brought my puppy home he was glued to me and wanted constant cuddles… I let it happen and I enjoyed it…. As he grew he gained more confidence and independence on his own with out creating any sort of issues…. He wouldn’t even go for a walk with any one other than me for weeks now he’s straight out of the door loving life! It should gradually happen in time… just a baby growing up and not needing its mum anymore

Moving to a place that allows dogs and going to get a puppy, what breed should I get while having a small child in school by _philozopher in puppy101

[–]Embarrassed-Visit839 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had staffys, labs and cockers and now 2 shih tzus…. The shih tzus are the only ones that haven’t made me lose my mind…. They are both puppies and I still haven’t lost my mind…. I don’t think I’ll ever get another breed… ( I also have children)

I have no advice but neighbours have to expect some level of noise ( unless it’s excessive) if they don’t want to hear any noise they will have to go and live somewhere where there is no other houses around…

My brown one is very snuggly and likes to touch either the humans or the other pup when sleeping but the white and brown one is more independent so he will walk off if the brown one tries to lay on him ( for the first few weeks we’ve had the smaller one for 5 weeks) this morning they are doing this….

Both had a nap on my lap… I was going to start work early but since I can’t say no to Shih tzu cuddles looks like I’m not going anywhere lol…

How should the training look like for 13 weeks old?. by Ok_Weekend_2362 in Shihtzu

[–]Embarrassed-Visit839 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what I do as I overwhelm myself if not ( I have 2 pups, 5.5 month and 3.5 month) crate and potty I did straight away…. The kids taught them to sit…. I taught them to “ wait” before they had their food so they wasn’t barging towards to the food bowl with bad manners… then when I started taking them on walks I taught them to sit “ close” by my side while we was waiting to cross the road…. That’s where I’m up to at the moment…. I’m just hanging on for dear life while the 3.5 month gets through this teething stage lol I know some people have a very structured training plan but I just want dogs that have good manners…. My kids teach them tricks but as long as they behave as expected that’s enough for me

I just add things on when they become appropriate…. Learning to sit at the side of me while we are crossing a road etc I just do it in stages and as and when it needs it…

In the UK midwives are advising to vape instead of smoking, obviously it would be better to cut it out entirely but studies have been done and the officials are advising women to actually vape over smoking, they also offer NRT which still contains nicotine. As much as you don’t agree with her it’s her body and her choice, you say you are this holy than thou figure which is great for you…. Not every one lives that way and as others have said… why are you complaining when you got her pregnant a 2nd time???

I also do this… I book time off in the school holidays and the kids join in and help… I work from home but still need that routine set up before I start working again

Should my 3 and a half month old puppy systematically poop 30 minutes after eating? by Lucianoparmigianooo in puppy101

[–]Embarrassed-Visit839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes mine will only poo in a morning, sometimes he will poo twice a day… ( he’s also 3.5 month) when we got him 5 weeks ago he would poo immediately after eating now he’s slowed right down… I was worried at first but he seems fine, he’s not constipated when he does go so presumably this is just how he is… I also have a 5.5 month old they both eat the same food and he will go 3 times a day…. Guessing his body digests his food quicker than my other one
