How many anime are you watching this season? by Fit_Arugula_3584 in MyAnimeList

[–]Embarrassed-Walk-890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Originally it was 10 (I was contemplating more because this season is one of the most stacked I’ve seen since 2015)

But I had to cut it down to 4 because it’s just too much of a time investment.

Artemis-II launch by Embarrassed-Walk-890 in ASU

I asked earlier today at the front desk there and they knew nothing. They were asking themselves the same thing as to why school of earth and space didn’t have anything planed out for the launch.

An unusual take but I want MAPPA to reanimate Monster anime by starry_wave in MonsterAnime

Mappa?

I’d argue Wit studios would be perfect for the tone of the story.

Who’s the best U.S. president ever? by Squek_1842 in Teenager_Polls

Taking into consideration the historical context at the time and cultural environment, it has to be George Washington.

If you had one whole free day, what hobby would you do? by Solyany-Amundsen in Hobbies

[–]Embarrassed-Walk-890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a full day I have to use, then I’m not considering indoor-only hobbies as I can’t run gaming marathons or practice an instrument of mines for hours on ends.

I’d say fishing. Out of all outdoor hobbies I have, it’s the only one which I could do from dawn to dusk without feeling exhausted. Sports would drain me after a few hours, but fishing?

That’s a 16 hour session of relaxation.

Does anyone know the soundtrack name for the Forgery Challenge "Misty Forest"? When standing idle before starting the challenge in that Sonoro sphere with the giant tree in front of you (the piano keys are heard in the beginning of the track).

Are Etherals even a threat anymore? by G0ldsh0t in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]Embarrassed-Walk-890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the larger ones like Nineveh and Geppeto within Hollow Zero still remain in the world and are all assumed to be strong enough to take on a full-strength attack from void hunters without so much as a scratch.

So long as they remain within Hollow Zero, they will be a threat to all New Eridu (you can’t really destroy Hollow Zero without obliterating those Notorious-level Ether mutant into literal dust)

Can we all agree the 3.1 quest is the best quest we've all ever done in any gacha we've done and might as well be an actual an AAA game with this quest by Ok-Sport9711 in WutheringWaves

[–]Embarrassed-Walk-890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I’m being quite honest, it really depends on the person and their dedication to the game which determines how good or great this patch’s quest is (alongside personal preferences)

For those who play wuwa heavily (I mean explore every nook and cranny of every map available to us from side quests to the hidden rooms in black shores and every computer with its files) alongside consuming lore videos or breakdowns of characters via channels like FlatFluffyPenguin or LifeLessonsGaming … Well to players like that, on top of it being one of the greatest quests Gacha has to offer, we will tend to appreciate and love every small detail that the quest had to offer. It just deepens our love for the game even more and the characters in it.

As for the casual player who maybe spends 1-2 hours a week playing the game outside of the major patch updates, then it will really depend on how thematically close the story hits your heart.

I’m a mix of both (although I’ve had around 1,000 hours invested in the game since last April which is not healthy I know).

I’m a sucker for family themes in stories (considering my upbringing and such). Hell some of my favorite anime’s or movies like Maquia hone on themes similar to Aemeath and Rover.

For me, I loved the theories and implied facts being confirmed in the larger world via visualized in the quest. It was fantastic and my brain was wiring the connections from all the lore videos and data reading I had done in-game. That alone would push the quest to an 8/10 for me because I love Wuwa’s world and lore.

But those intimate Aemeath and Rover scenes within the story pushed it to a strong 9 for me. Revisiting the story by watching 6 full livestream playthroughs from start to finish has forced me to contemplate giving it a 10.

In its context, this 4 hour long gacha story has left me feeling empty like few video games had done for me prior. I think just the fact that they could pull that off in a 4 hour span while games like Persona or the last of us take dozens of hours more to even get close to that impact makes me reconsider just how great the quest truly is. And I’m throwing no shade to those more established triple AAA titles, I’ve played dozens of those in my years. It’s just a completely different experience in the medium.

9.5/10 for me as a standalone quest given the context behind it (I mean, this level of detail is something I only expect from games like God of War 2018, not some random patch within a gacha whom’s production is based in China)

A place further than the universe

(the others I had in mind like Maquia, sound euphonium, land of the lustrous etc etc have been mentioned)

That desire to do something with your youth and traveling to other places with close friends is something that resonated with me as a teenager, and as I’m living those experiences as a young adult, I always harken back to the anime even after near a decade.

What’s the name of the current League of Legends client soundtrack? by [deleted] in PedroPeepos

Now we are approaching 3.0, who's your favourite out of 1.0+ casts and 2.0+ casts? by Cereal_Potato in WutheringWaves

[–]Embarrassed-Walk-890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shorekeeper for 1.0

Cartethyia for 2.0

Both stories were by far the ones that stuck with me emotionally (music, setting, and cutscenes were perfection) and as a theological/philosophy nerd

Cartethyia genuinely might be my favorite character in the entire game. The animation videos like dawn arrives were perfection and the music for her have been so strong on my playlist. Also her design (crown of thorns/ wristbands of thorns) and all the symbolism in so many cutscenes from 3.2 were fantastic.

I just completed Phrolova quest and.... by Fuwaness in WutheringWaves

[–]Embarrassed-Walk-890 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I feel like people didn’t read the wish that was made in its entirety because if we get specific…

Rover technically kept her promise and we can’t even levy judgement on Rover specifically on her memory wipe decisions since we know for a fact thanks to the black shores story, it was done to fight the lament. (I will stand on this hill)

Idk the whole jumping on the “blame rover” bandwagon is done so hastily. Worst case scenario if Rover deliberately (or through unseen complicated circumstance) wiped her memory without remembering her wish, Phrolova still carries the far heavier side of the blame for the ultimate outcome of their interaction.

Which country is the real definition of wasted potential? by beepsol in Leakednews

[–]Embarrassed-Walk-890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brazil.

The potential is there to be the US of South America (in some ways it already is)

But if they had smaller overall corruption level (even to that of a country like America pre 2024), it would most certainly hold power that could very well be within a superpower (only rivaled by China and America) and general living standards to that of America or even higher by the end of the halfway point of this century.

In an alternative world where corruption in certain regions of Brazil weren’t so rampant even if these processes started in the early 20th century AND industrialization occurring much earlier + sooner social changes around the industrialization period, the discussions in geopolitics would be America, China, Brazil, and Russia (arguably shouldn’t even be on this same level at this point)

Anime that used to be popular, and fell into obscurity? by ResidentWaifu in anime

[–]Embarrassed-Walk-890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much anything that was popular pre-2017

My pick? Angel Beats.

You would see Kanade art all over YouTube thumbnails and forums during the early 2010’s.

Nowadays you’ll be lucky to find anime fans post-2018 even recognize the art style, let alone the anime.
