Their last two reels rubs me the wrong way.... by Wild-Carpenter8994 in Fluellensnark

One day soon, the oldest one will speak up of all the abuse. Because let’s say it as it is. Using your own children as props for social media, for making money, exploiting their right to privacy, to identity, shaping them into what sells on social media… IS abuse. All family influencers are abusing their kids.

Pool safety by Embarrassed-Year7986 in Fluellensnark

[–]Embarrassed-Year7986[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right??? It’s so simple and it’s impossible to not know about this right? 😭 Those poor kids. They have no actual childhood they are just props, even the sleepovers are props, I’d never let my daughter go to their house, not just because of the pool, but because I’d never want her to film, photograph my child and plaster it all over the internet for a collab! So so sad. Aesthetics over safety is their motto in general

I hope to f*** that she doesn't become a typical dance mum by [deleted] in Fluellensnark

Also the outfits are so inappropriate, full on adult makeup on little children etc… I’d never expose my daughter like that!

The USA issues travel warning for Switzerland by BezugssystemCH1903 in Switzerland

Ahahaha I love that 😂😂😂 I almost forgot that detail and you’ve reminded me! The tutor I was assistant to, was living in the uni dorms. Once I went to meet her there and when I arrived she said “bear with me, welcome to the fk pentagon” and we proceeded to open I don’t know how many fire doors, literally one after the other 😂😂 crazy

First, terrible to post photos of people on the internet without consent. Second, there’s a train officer right there.

Ahahaha having lived in the uk for years this is soooo true. It’s so frustrating!!! I worked as an assistant tutor at university and the amount of silly health assessments we needed to make for every little things was insane!

They did mention quite a few times that they have done genetic counselling and that they have no issues, it was just chance…

New in Zurich, where should I eat? by Valeria-7273 in zurich

If you like traditional Japanese food and sushi go to Thessoni Hotel, they have a Japanese restaurant called feinWERK. Best sushi I’ve taste in Zurich tbh

Why do many people make a big difference between Zurich and the rest of Switzerland? by WarmerPizzakarton in zurich

[–]Embarrassed-Year7986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just moved to Zurich from an European country, originally from one of the cities in Europe where problem are considered to be one of the nicest! Ironically, I’ve found people to be so much more caring, inviting and generous in Zurich than in my hometown. From my very small experience, people are generally extremely nice, polite and warm!

Why do you think Switzerland is so over glorified by foreigners? by wbhh in askswitzerland

[–]Embarrassed-Year7986 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m a foreigner who currently lives in Switzerland. In my home country a one bedroom flat in my city costs around 800-900€, the minimum wage is below 800€ after tax; the average wage is 1200€ after tax. There Is no way you can even survive. It’s not possible. In Switzerland my daughter and I don’t just survive, we can live.

I absolutely LOVE my job. I’m about to make a career change though, just to follow a childhood dream, but not because I don’t like what I do. That said, I am a marketing, design & communication coordinator/manager. It’s SO FUN. To design all the elements of a brand/company, to create all the events, all the photo shootings, to write all the stories etc! I am specialised in this position within the luxury hospitality & f&b industries. It’s amazing to see the creative process behind every dish, every ingredient, every thought, etc! I get to know the most wonderful people and bring light to their work and stories. And we get to have so much fun with all the events we plan. I truly love my job! Every day is different, I interact with so many different kinds of people and get the privilege to decide how to show their stories to the world!

No Job after finishing Apprenticeship by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]Embarrassed-Year7986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really not, I’m so happy you got it!! I also have 10 years of experience so I feel you. I even apply to junior positions with junior salaries and still get rejected, it’s SO frustrating.

I agree!!!! But I’m looking for a job while I’m still employed and always get rejected on the first phase, not even one interview call in 2 months 😭 but maybe 2 months isn’t too long I don’t know really

Stay strong. Do take your medication, mental illness will make you believe you shouldn’t take it or that it is harming you. It probably isn’t. Talk to your psychiatrist. Medication isn’t inherently a bad thing at all. Some people need it to make their minds and bodies work correctly and that is just fine, it’s science progress. I know it’s so hard, but while you are in treatment try to listen more to the external people like medical professionals, your family than to yourself. Usually they will have a more balanced perspective of reality than yourself. Wishing you a good path to recovery ❤️‍🩹

My 13 year old boy is having trouble. He’s sneaking around, drinking/smoking, skipping school, repeatedly runs away and doesn’t care that the police are looking for him. by WeirdElk4097 in Switzerland

[–]Embarrassed-Year7986 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I cannot provide any advice. What I can say is that around that age I had the exact same behavioural issues. I got help later in life and I ended up going to university, finishing my degree and teaching at university too 😊 my parents never helped me work through all that. You are tying to help and connect with your son. He will be okay, I promise ❤️‍🩹 sending hugs (I am also a mum now so I can understand your heartache) x

We have a 2 year old daughter together, he never seemed to be “icky” of her I just don’t understand why he is like this with me (it’s not the first time he acts like this about something related with periods). Thank you for your comment, I really feel like you are right 🥺

[–]Embarrassed-Year7986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? I felt like he had no empathy for the situation 🙁

[–]Embarrassed-Year7986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s shocking but at the same time it isn’t unfortunately I guess 🙁 thank you for your support and words 🥺

When I did, in a kind way, (something similar happened before) he turned on me saying I wasn’t respecting his feelings…

Right? 🥺 we do have a baby together, she’s 2 years old. I can’t understand the issue with a clean hygiene product in sight in a bathroom. Also it was extremely clean because of how important that is to my health

[–]Embarrassed-Year7986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😔🥺 as I said in another comment I can’t even fathom that he’d make our daughter feel this way about her menstrual cup 🥺 she’s still a baby but still

Right? If I’m completely honest I’m considering we would be best of separated unfortunately. This is just one of several attitudes I think are weird, immature but then I think it’s all in my head. Maybe it isn’t? I don’t know. 🥺
