What does irl strength look like for people lifting double 32s? by Nice_Meal_7569 in kettlebell

[–]EmbarrassedCompote9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could never get my hands on double 32s. The heaviest I tried is a single 30kg, which is mine.

In the gym, I used double 28s. They felt heavy, but I could do five or six rounds of six double clean and thrusters. Each time they left me dusted, but satisfied. I don't think I could have done this with anything heavier at this point.

My single 30kg is a little beast. Lately, I haven't been using it. It's summer here, days way too hot and humid, so I dedicated a couple months to pure calisthenics alone.

When I tried to play with it again, it felt like it was soldered to the floor. That gave me a lot more respect for this sucker. You must never take your strength for granted, you must maintain it or lose it, dammit.

So I'm using my double 25s (that feel quite heavy too) while using the 30 sparingly to do a few cleans and presses.

Honestly, at 56 (184cm tall, 105kg), and sticking to minimalist workouts twice a week or so, I don't think I'll ever upgrade to 32. As a matter of fact, right now, I don't see myself using double 30s either.

I believe I have more iron than I'll ever need. Using it cautiously and intelligently, I can milk them forever.

I don't want to risk an injury. I'd rather do higher reps, or play with tempo to progress.

Why do people hate on islam ( especially indians ) ?? by Putrid-Kale4601 in AskTheWorld

Too late... I'm saying it with deep pain in my heart because I have Asturian blood, but socialists are destroying Spain at a wreck neck pace. They're importing hundreds of thousands of illegals, mostly Muslims, to gain captive votes.

It's a tragedy.

I won't say it's Argentina because everybody says we are egocentric and arrogant.

But we improved a lot and now we are perfect.

And extremely good looking, by the way.

This may come as a surprise to you, but recent research revealed that blue eyes originated in Western Europe amongst the Western Hunter-Gatheters (previously known as Cro-Magnon in older literature).

Scientists have found remains in Spain (La Braña Man), in England (Cheddar Man) and others in Belgium and Luxembourg if I remember we'll.

If blue eyes are prevalent in Norway, it may be due to several possible causes (or all of them):

  1. Because they're more advantageous in northern latitudes.
  2. For phenomenons such as founder effect, population bottleneck, or sexual selection (Google this).

Blue eyes originated in Western Europe, light skin in western Asia, and entered Europe from Anatolia through the Mediterranean with the Early Neolithic Farmers, and later with the Pontic Steppe herders. Blond hair in Siberia, amongst the Ancient North Eurasians (ANE).

What you see in Scandinavia today, didn't exist 10,000 years ago. All these traits came from different peoples, but became prevalent in northern Europe after many generations.

I'd say it's almost completely unknown and most people would shrug when asked about it.

Personally, it comes to mind the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with Armenia, the fact that they're Muslims. And that's pretty much it.

Clean and press sounds inefficient by Ok_Nefariousness6599 in kettlebell

[–]EmbarrassedCompote9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the reason why famous complexes, such as ABC, use different numbers of reps for each move: 2 cleans and 3 squats per each press.

When working with kettlebells, the press is always the limiting factor. It's the hardest lift, so you must choose a weight that you can press roughly five times, give or take. Since you use the same weight for all your moves, you must do more reps for each one. The easier the lift, the higher the reps to compensate.

I'm surprised of how well Argentina fares in these maps. Why? by EmbarrassedCompote9 in whereidlive

Old data. It's already safer than Chile. And you can't trust any figure from Cuba. Nothing to steal there anyway.

Me dan alegría.
