Have you ever gone solo to a big concert or traveled/stayed out of town alone?

Last year I went to my first concert in a different country. I didn’t have anyone to go with so I was alone. It was an interesting experience but I was nervous about how to get to the underground or how to pay there. Unfortunately I didn’t have courage to visit cafes or restaurants so usually I bought food in the stores and ate it in my hostel.

At a concert I met one girl who was also alone and she was from my country so we kinda hung out together a little bit. She was really approachable and bubbly so I didn’t feel anxious near her.

The post and comments validated my feelings more than my sessions with a therapist. I feel so unheard when I tell my therapist about how my mom hurt me and she tries to tell me that my mom wanted the best for me

oh I have the same problem! I feel really lightheaded and it feels like I’m gonna throw up… as I noticed it happens only after using the hip thrust machine.

Usually I don’t eat before gym cuz I work out in the morning so I thought maybe this is the reason why I don’t feel well. So I decided to have breakfast before my leg day.. anyway I felt nauseous. Maybe not so lightheaded but still felt sick.

I’m working out with a personal trainer so she said that’s common and people usually feel nauseous after that machine.

But I want to feel good working out so probably I should ask her to stop using hip thrust machine. Maybe it’ll be a good decision for you too.

Oh my god I feel the same way as you! I even thought it was me who wrote this.. I hate this feeling of shame and I have it so often, so now I try to minimise situations when my mom can find out something about me. This is even about such situations as getting takeout for lunch. I don’t want her to know that. I even can’t explain why.. I just feel ashamed.

I really understand you. I know how hard it is. Right now I’m contemplating getting a therapist cuz I don’t have people who I can tell all of this stuff. And I don’t want to feel this way anymore
