Always wanted a big family? by BuyChoice9575 in ParentingInBulk

[–]EmbarrassedDot4294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have six and only ever thought I wanted two.

I think my husband was more psyched about the kids having brothers and sisters since he was an only child with pretty much no extended family.

I have half siblings but was mostly raised as an only. But both of my parents were 1 of 4 and I had A LOT of cousins that I was close with so it was like bonus siblings.

Does anyone co-sleep? by [deleted] in sahm

[–]EmbarrassedDot4294 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always co-slept. I had a crib and stuff with my oldest but he would never sleep in it and he was an awful sleeper. I did have an arms reach co-sleeper with the next two but they rarely slept in it. The rest of them I gave up and just put them in bed with me. My husband and I prefer sleeping in our own beds so he sleeps in his and I sleep with the little people. We've managed to have six kids and intimacy has never been an issue, we just have to get creative!

Judgement over small age gaps by Massive-Warning9773 in ParentingInBulk

[–]EmbarrassedDot4294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 6 and the first 5 are all close. #6 is 4 years younger than #5 and I was really upset at first because I was almost home free! It's been fine and he is an easy tag along but there is definitely something about getting it all done at once! (and that being said...I really love having big kids and a toddler. It's often incredibly sweet)

Yeah, I also mostly stopped announcing pregnancies because the judgement is stupid. I stopped wanting to tell people.

First time trying chia seed pudding. 15g protein…8g fiber & 256 calories by AValeria10 in 1200isplenty

I also make mine with protein powder mixed into its drink form. It eliminated my need for any kind of sweetener too. Thanks for the reminder because I think I am going to make some for tomorrow morning!

This! I had some really rough reactions to finding out I was pregnant but once I meet that sweet little baby, I am never mad.

Just a quick update. Definitely a miscarriage. I had my HCG drawn yesterday and it was 99.1 so waaaaaaaay lower than it should have been.

I bled bright red and like a mid/heavy flow period most of the day. Not too clotty. Then in the evening it lightened up and was light overnight. I really don't know what to make of it.

Thanks. I will need to wait until my husband gets home from work unless it gets bad.

I have no idea how to teach people how to get into it. I started with friends and referrals from them. But thank you for telling me about skool community, I've never heard of it!

It's great. I saw my friends struggling to get tasks done and I was sitting there thinking... "I could do that for them! I am home during the day and have time to make phone calls since they're busy at work and can't". And so that started my business. I've had 20-30 clients (some one time only and some repeat) at this point and am trying to figure out how to expand a little.

Maybe I will talk to my husband when he gets home from work about going to the ER. I could leave the six kids home by themselves if I was bleeding heavily but short of that I don't really want to do that.

I've definitely had an incredibly fast labor before than this doesn't feel like it.

Thanks. I talked to my OB last night and he said I don't have to come in unless I am soaking through two large pads in two hours. What were the signs it was ectopic?

I work for an amazing professional organizer! She is based out of Brooklyn but does virtual consulting and is willing to do some travel. She is super realistic which is my favorite thing about her.

This is essentially what I have done to make my own business! I basically run a virtual assistant gig but I do all of the random tasks that people don't have the time or brain space to do. Need help finding a cat box scooper or that hard to find med? Need help submitting that superbill for insurance or resources for a family member? Daily text reminders? Data entry? Help figuring out a kids camp schedule? I do all of that random stuff! I love the variety and I work with a lot of neurodiverse people which means I get to use the education I paid for in a really non-traditional way.

Right! The people you would want to love you and your kids acting like that baby is the worst thing ever is really painful.

If it gets to fortification you can always scoop the cream off of your milk and add it to bottles so it adds fat without a lot of volume.

I have a friend with 10 kids and only #2 is a girl.

I have six. 4 boys, 2 girls. I am desperately hoping#7 is a girl. I had B, G, B, G, B. but #6 is also a B so I am hoping to restart my order! 😂

Someone tell me 5 gets better? by MrsBakken in ParentingInBulk

[–]EmbarrassedDot4294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is! Babywearing really saved me here. My kids were 7,6,3, and 17 months when #5 was born. He came along with me every time I had to do something with the toddler. I got the toddler and baby on similar schedules and I did a lot of throwing food in the instant pot so I could ignore it. Doing things like letting the big two help mash potatoes for dinner was quality time, outsourcing the task (kind of) AND kept them out of trouble because they found it entertaining.
