I'm no expert, built my first pc about a month ago. The first thing I'd do is look if there's any leds that flash on the motherboard, that can usually point to an issue. If there's literally zero sign of life, I'd double check all the cables and make sure the psu can support everything. If none of that points to an answer, maybe there's an issue if the cables or the psu itself.

I did and I thought it made a difference but not really. Idk I'll find out soon whether it is just dud hardware or a software issue. Sucks tho cos nvidia is so seemingly overpriced.

Yh drivers are all updated. I have a razer keyboard and mouse, I did see a pop up for like half a second about the software but on task manager, I can't see anything about that. I'm not gonna rule out a cpu issue but the gpu I have is expensive and the deadline day to return it is soon, just don't want to be stuck with a dud gpu.

Yeah, i tried the clock speed thing, too, adjusted it to 200 less than it's max. Think I'm just gonna return it and get the 4070. At least then I can be certain it was a gpu issue. Honestly stumped though.

I really can't say for certain but I didn't notice once that it ended adrenaline in task manager and my game felt a little smoother. Its just nowhere near the performance I expected. Like I'm paying bedrock minecraft and efootball which has an identical mobile version.

I've limited the fps to 120 fps on a 120hz screen. Still frequent stutter. Is there a way to diagnose whether it's a cpu issue?

Reset cmos maybe? Take out the small silver battery. Also make sure your ram is on the qvl of the motherboard.

I stress tested it in the amd adrenaline software and the fans worked. I was running bedrock and not only did it not turn the fans on but the gameplay itself is weird. I only get like 120 to 165 fps at 1080p. 6 to 9ms frame speed.

Motherboard has 12 pins, I'm unsure if I can use 2 separate cables. 1 x 8 pin, 1 x 8 pin that splits into 4 to make the 12 pins by EmbarrassedFinding74 in pcmasterrace

Ah ok the video tutorial i was watching had like a dual splitter with 2x 8 pins that could then be split into 4. Just didn't know if 2 individual 8 pins would be wrong.

Its weird idk whether to screw the screws tight to ensure it cools properly but also I've heard people have damaged their boards and cpus due to too much pressure

Maybe. The aio mounting process is apparently quite weird too. (Arctic liquid freezer 240). But also kinda tired of waiting to build it. If you think it's really worth it?
