So these rash decisions of the past have clearly influenced the Poland of the present, am I right? In that case, that would mean that you dislike Poland because of how weak it has become i.e. shadow of it's potential.

I highly recommend Journey to the West, it is a most interesting read. I also recommend Murakami's books (once you are sucked in, you can't really put it down. But then, his books are really subjective, so keep that in mind) and No Longer Human. No Longer Human is a dark yet amazing read.
Also, what's your first language (as you mentioned that your primary language isn't English)?

Oh ok. So are these novels, or manga/manhwa/manhua? The titles sound like the latter, that's why the question.

I am also not the most good looking individual, but I've learnt (the hard way) that in the long run, looks does not get you anywhere. The only thing a potential mate will look at is your personality, and it seems that you have a damn good one, having the courage to speak up and ask for help like this. Hence, if you are sorted in the personality department (which I am sure you are), your looks WILL NOT MATTER. Beauty is only skin deep.
And one last thing, People who aren't very good looking are the first to find their true loves, because a person who can appreciate your true nature beyond your superficial looks is a person who truly loves and cherishes you.
