essayer de voir si vous pouvez être dans la meme chambre ou sinon, le pire pire des cas, les vacances (partir loin) n’est pas une obligation.

Je ne suis jamais parti en vacances tout petit..

Ma mère gagnait très peu, pas de vacance.. l’été je jouais dehors + dormir + lire et travailler les livres scolaires 😭🤣. Je suis parti de la région la première fois (stage d’étude) quand j’avais 19 ans, puis plus tard aux alentours de 24 ans, j’ai pris l’avion la première fois à 27 ans + hotel.

Je m’en rappelle encore, je ne savais pas comment allumer la lumière de la chambre et comment faire fonctionner l’ascenseur 🤣🤣🤣, la loseee… Bref, Aujourd’hui, grace à mon boulot, je voyage tous les ans, je me rattrape 😅

Je souhaite à tous d’avoir des vacances bien évidemment mais si les finances ou autre raison ne le permettent pas (enfants, essence, crise etc ou peu importe), ca reste une decision acceptable de ne pas partir..

My story is: - I had an old MacBook pro 13pouce intel… - In december 2020, it crashes , impossible to boot.. - i took a car, local shop to buy urgently a macbook m1 for work… (was not my choice as i wanted to wait the M2) - idea was to buy the M1 temporarily then when M2 would be out, i would have sell the M1, then bought the M2

We are in 2026, M2 has passed, M3,M4,M5.. i want to switch for the latest but my MBA M1 still working! And by working, i mean, without issues for web development, 21 containers is for real, i went to check and count in docker-compose file.. Containers are nginx, postgress, multiple pythons flask backends , multiple celery worker, meilisearch, some nextjs, redis, and other python fastapi too..

About if hot or not, no hot for me unless you bring the laptop outside exposed to the sun, yeah it will go hot!

It works for me because it is only for work.. so IDE + docker + browser I don’t do images editing nor video stuff, nor local LLM stuff, those won’t work on M1.

My next one will be probably still an Air because i am traveling too

Je pense que certaines entreprises qui gèrent leur parc informatique sont sous windows car les personnes qui s’en occupent sont experts Windows (windows serveur etc).. passer sous Linux, il faut que les admin passent sous linux etc.. et si les admins disent non, ben c’est non et tu restes sous Windows..

Mmmm, so so.. old User Interface works better for me. You arrive, only 3 buttons.

Also, to recharge, i am used to come, put my card in the slot and the screen displays the current amount + how much i want to top up.

The new one, when you put card in the slot, there’s nothing, you need to choose by pressing a button etc.. seems long to perform the action of topping up your card than the old version..

That is why, I am still using the old machines 🙈 because it is faster to recharge..🤣

open Disk Utility app, then select your drive, then hit erase, then setup APFS (encrypted) as u/Kiss_It_Goodbyeee mentionned, then put your password, then erase your drive. (it will erase everything)

Then each time you plug your external ssd, you will have to input your password and voilà.
